AN ALIEN FACE LOOKING BACK IN THE MIRROR

By Sean Casteel

UFO literature is replete with frightening accounts of kidnapping and other forms of assault by diminutive grey aliens and the taller intruders with distinctively reptilian features. But what is perhaps even more frightening are the less often reported “human-looking” aliens that can pass among us completely undetected and carry out their missions unhampered by “genuine” humans.

This is the aspect of alien life examined in “Mimics: The Others Among Us,” coauthored by Tim R. Swartz and myself, with contributions by numerous other stalwarts of UFO journalism and research. The cover explains that “They’ve Been Called Many Names Throughout Time – Gods, Angels, Demons, The Good Folk, Shapeshifters, Extraterrestrials. They Look Human . . . They Act Human . . . But They’re Not Human. They Are THE OTHERS.”

Mimics – The Others Among Us

That sounds like it was taken from the promotional poster to a sci-fi movie from the 1950s, unashamedly sensational and intended to shock. But what takes that sense of shock to a higher level is the fact that the various writers for “Mimics” each make an excellent case for the presence of human-looking aliens being grounded in real-world facts and the stuff of nonfiction. We could indeed be surrounded by nonhuman entities that look exactly like us, which begs the question, how could we ever know?

Perhaps we CAN know by piecing together bits of evidence collected over the years of the modern era of UFOs as well as the historical record of scripture and folklore compiled over the millennia. There are enough clues on the surface to help us draw conclusions about what lies underneath, which is the approach taken by “Mimics” and its many contributors.

DISAPPEARING DAVID

David Daniels claimed to be a shapeshifting reptilian.

In one chapter, written by Philip Kinsella, a clairvoyant medium and UFO investigator, we examine the story of a woman named Brenda Butler, who was an author of a book called “Sky Crash, A Cosmic Conspiracy,” about the famous 1980 Rendlesham Forest UFO incident involving U.S. Air Force personnel. Butler coauthored the book with Dot Street and UFOlogist/author Jenny Randles.

In November, 1984, Brenda received a distraught phone call from her writing partner Dot, who seemed to be in a state of complete shock.

“Dot proceeded to tell her,” Kinsella writes, “that a strange man had come to the door asking for Brenda. What scared Dot the most was the fact that one minute the man was standing in front of her, and the next he’d simply vanished, and had then appeared in her living room!”

Dot begged Brenda to get to her house as soon as possible, and Brenda reluctantly drove the thirty miles to her friend’s home. The strange man had particularly requested speaking with Brenda personally. When Brenda finally arrived, she was introduced to a tall, slim man with blonde, cropped hair, neatly parted in the middle. His eyes were the bluest she’d ever seen. His hands and fingers were exceedingly long. He looked to be in his late thirties and was extremely handsome.

“The man eventually spoke,” according to Kinsella. “He said his name was David Daniels and incredibly proclaimed that he was from the Pleiades and had arrived in a spacecraft.”

Brenda felt that was a little farfetched, to say the least, but, after researching the events at Rendlesham, it seemed that anything was possible. Brenda felt drawn to David, but Dot reacted to him in uncharacteristic hostility. David’s apparent ability to move from one place to another in the blink of an eye had obviously shaken Dot to the point where everyday logic went straight out the window.

In spite of the anger and hostility David brought forth from Dot, she nevertheless allowed him to stay in her home. Curiously, he never mentioned Rendlesham or the women’s book on the subject, though Brenda felt that that was what had drawn David to seek her and Dot out. Meanwhile, Dot explained that David only ate loads of greens, along with sweets to keep his energy levels up, and was reportedly appearing and disappearing in front of Dot all the time. She kept telling Brenda that David was dangerous and that she feared for her life.

Shortly after that, David decided to show Brenda his true self. He began to shake, and Brenda noticed the veins in his hands, neck and temple rose to about half an inch. This was followed by his appearance changing into what she could only describe as a Reptilian. His skin was like that of a snake. This shapeshifting episode lasted for about two minutes, and while he was in this state he began to speak in a strange language which Brenda could not identify. As he came around, his alien appearance disappeared. He was shaking, felt cold and remained silent for a moment while a shocked Brenda gathered her thoughts. She now no longer doubted that David was the alien he claimed to be.

While this dramatic transformation right in front of Brenda’s eyes certainly makes for a fascinating story, there is even more told in “Mimics” about David’s paranormal abilities and the humans who bore witness to them. But we’ll leave that to readers of the book and not give too much in the way of “spoilers.”

THE OUTER EXTREMES OF WHITENESS

Chris Holly wondered if she actually saw people who were not from this world.

Paranormal writer and experiencer Chris Holly contributes a chapter in which she writes about a strange family of albinos who used to live in her neighborhood when she was a teenager. Later, as an adult, her mother casually mentioned the family to her, who she hadn’t thought about in years.

“My mother went on about how striking they were,” Holly writes, “and how well dressed and groomed they were. My mother commented many times back when she saw them how beautiful the family was and always noticed what they were wearing, I never thought much about it then as I was in my teens but, as my mother went on and on about the albino family, I realized how very strange they really were.”

The family consisted of two adults and three children, all of them albinos. Holly had seen only a few other people with the albino condition but didn’t notice much difference between them and the family in her neighborhood. But, in talking to her mother, she began to realize how they were truly unusual people and not like other albinos.

The five members of the family were all over six feet tall, including the mother and the daughter. When they walked through the department store, they stood a head above most of the other shoppers. Each of them had thick, full, pure white hair. They had high cheekbones and model-like features. They all had the same color eyes, clear, big and very light blue. They kept to themselves and seemed to be quiet, polite people.

Holly would come to realize that they were a very “different” group of people. How likely was it that two beautiful albinos who looked so much alike in height and facial features would meet and marry?

“Although this is possible,” Holly writes, “I knew the odds had to be nearly impossible.”

Holly would recall reading an article about the eye problems that befell albinos and that their eyes tended to be pink or reddish. Her research did not turn up any albinos with blue eyes. The family in her neighborhood were either the result of some kind of incredible happening or they were simply NOT a family of human albinos.

Years after discussing the subject with her mother, Holly ran across a few articles on the Internet that talked about an alien species called the “Tall Whites.” When she looked at an artist’s rendering of the Tall Whites, she was completely taken aback as she saw the same tall people with the same beautiful faces – white hair, blue eyes, and high cheekbones – as the albino family that used to live in her Long Island, New York, neighborhood in the 1960s.

“I will never know,” Holly concludes, “if that strange, gentle family of tall, beautiful people was simply a very rare family of albinos or if they were a group of entirely different beings.”

Holly’s efforts to track down the family in the years since have proved fruitless. She was never able to find anything anywhere that would explain this odd group of people, adding that, “Maybe they just moved away to another state – or planet!”

HAUNTED BY THE LIVING

Ghosts of the living.

There exists a phenomenon that may seem new to you, called a “Living Ghost.” In a chapter by Paul Dale Roberts, a ghost hunter and UFO researcher, he discusses some little known sightings of various apparitions of people still living.

For example, in Chicago, Illinois, in 1974, a couple moved into a new neighborhood. They began to feel their recently purchased home was haunted because, always around 2 am, they repeatedly saw an apparition of a man walking over to the couch, after which an apparition of a woman appeared. The man confronted the woman and began slapping her. Then they both dissipated and vanished. The couple that had moved into this house saw this incident four times.

The couple was later invited to a neighborhood block party traditionally held every year on Labor Day. The host offered to let them thumb through his photo albums with photos of past events taken at the annual party.

As the woman perused one photo album, she was shocked and surprised to see the couple that had manifested in her home. She yelled out, “These are the ghosts in my house!” The host looked at the photo and said, “They are not ghosts. Both people are alive. They had domestic disputes and the police had been to the house a few times. They got a divorce. The woman lives five blocks down the road and the husband moved out of state. They are very much alive.”

“This is an example of ‘living ghosts,’” Roberts writes. “The negative energy released into this home replays itself over and over again. Very strong negative residual energy. You do not have to be dead to be a ghost.”

Roberts notes that in Japan they also believe in living ghosts, but their interpretation is somewhat different. Their version involves a disembodied spirit that leaves the body of a living person and subsequently haunts other people or places, sometimes across great distances. This is in contrast to the spirit of a person who is already deceased.

Roberts also writes about the better known “Doppelganger” phenomenon, in which an exact duplicate of a living person is seen. He was called in to assist a family suffering from an invasion of ghosts, some of whom mimicked the appearance of the recently widowed mother of the household as well as her granddaughter. At the end of the investigation, Roberts conducted a Roman Catholic cleansing of the home, which was a very emotional process for the mother.

THE TEENAGE DOPPELGANGER

A doppelganger could be a visitor from a parallel reality.

Researcher, writer and radio show host Paul Eno also writes about a “Doppelganger,” again a circumstance suffered by a family enduring minor poltergeist phenomena in the mid-1970s. Kitchen cabinets would rapidly open and close on their own, books and other objects in different rooms would move, and family members and guests heard occasional heavy footsteps in the attic and on the stairs. There were loud banging sounds on several occasions.

The phenomena seemed to follow the family’s fifteen-year-old daughter Lucy, not only at home but at the homes of friends. On investigating the case, Eno began to feel that the entities causing the poltergeist activity were not your normal haunting “demons” but seemed instead to be more like “provocateurs” or “cosmic mosquitos,” focusing on causing negative emotions in people, like anger, fear and frustration. They would “eat up” the energy of these unhappy feelings like “food.”

Lucy’s experiences had been triggered by her experimenting with a Ouija Board, with which she eventually summoned a spirit calling himself “Arten” and several of his associates.

“This was the classic pattern,” Eno writes, “a parasite-mimic finding an ‘in’ to make a girl, and perhaps her entire family, into a hot lunch. The Ouija Board and the ‘Arten’ persona were the ins. The resulting phenomena stirred up fear and other negative emotions that fed the parasites.”

In the midst of all this spiritual drama, various members of Lucy’s family saw a female with long, blonde hair – looking just like Lucy – looming over the girl’s bed while she was asleep. This took place not only at their family home in Glastonbury, Connecticut, but nearly 100 miles away, at their vacation home in Rhode Island.

Was the Lucy-like figure the family members saw really a mimic? Or perhaps another facet of Lucy from a parallel life looking in on her out of concern?

According to Eno, “We have seen overwhelming evidence that the latter is possible, because parallel worlds often have very different laws of physics, and thus heightened layers of multi-versal awareness and access.”

In the ensuing years, Eno has run into many more parasites who were mimics, and he shares a few more of those encounters in “Mimics: The Others Among Us.” Again, those stories are better off left to readers of the book.

OUR UNNAMABLE REFLECTION?

In his introduction to the book, publisher, editor and writer Tim R. Swartz writes: “We have tried throughout the centuries to put names to that which tries to remain hidden and unnamable. Nevertheless, despite their efforts to keep to the threshold of human awareness, it’s clear that the others have been with us since the beginning, taking on the roles of teachers, messengers, protectors, tricksters and adversaries.

“Modern UFO lore,” he continues, “from the very beginning of the 1950s contactee era, referenced how the Venusians, along with other visitors from nearby planets, looked so much like us that they managed to clandestinely secure jobs in major corporations and even high-ranking political positions.”

Is that idea really just a matter of “over-the-top” paranoia? Join contributors Timothy Green Beckley, Scott Corrales, Paul Eno, Chris Holly, Hercules Invictus, Philip Kinsella, Brent Raynes, Paul Dale Roberts, Gene Steinberg, Lon Strickler, Nigel Watson and John Weigle as they grapple with the idea of mimics from various intriguing approaches in their attempt to provide answers to the many mysteries posed by the presence of those who look just like us but are different – different in ways that are both profound and terrifying.

ARE BEINGS FROM BEYOND RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR EVOLUTION?

By Sean Casteel

In her new book, Diane states that she believes UFOs and UAPs are from a level of existence beyond ours.

Diane Tessman has been involved with the UFO mystery since she was four years old. At that young age she had two encounters, about six months apart, with a human-like being called “Tibus.” From that time onward, she has felt a “shared consciousness” with Tibus which is similar to telepathy. With Tibus’ input, Diane has offered psychic insight and spiritual counseling to thousands of people who also feel contact from “beings from beyond.” The experience can be frightening at times and joyous at other times. Diane’s guidance has proved helpful and healing. She maintains two publications, Change Times Quarterly, and Star Network Heartline for star seeds, experiencers, and seekers.

Diane would eventually become a field investigator with both the Mutual UFO Network, a worldwide civilian organization dedicated to finding the truth about UFOs and aliens, and the legendary Aerial Phenomenon Research Organization (APRO) which developed information and research on UFOs and UAPs which continue to be highly respected.

Today, Diane is Director of the Star Network Cat Sanctuary and Wildlife Refuge as well as offering readings and counseling to people hoping for emotional healing and providing personal insight for those seeking to solve the mysteries around them. Diane has never stopped investigating and researching in a scientific manner but, amazingly, her spirit guide Tibus has continued to have input into her scientific efforts as well. Science and Spirit are the two sides of the whole “coin” of reality.

“Beings From Beyond: They Are Here” by Diane Tessman

In her new book, Beings From Beyond: They Are Here, Diane shares what she has discovered regarding the UFO/UAP phenomenon and what beings are really behind it. She has experienced paranormal events all her life and offers amazing new information as to what The Paranormal really is and how it fits in with the UFO phenomenon. After all, very often if someone has a UFO experience, they are also visited by paranormal happenings. Diane shares her own experiences in this regard in this new book.

The book opens with this dramatic declaration: “Here is my hypothesis: UFOs and UAPs are from a level of existence beyond ours. This in itself is the answer to many aspects of the UFO/UAP puzzle.

“A new level of existence will become a necessity,” Diane continues, “an evolutionary mandate, as our advanced science technology opens ‘places beyond belief,’ as Neil Armstrong exclaimed. For instance, the creation of wormholes and the warping of time and space will expose astronauts to exotic energies and levels of reality for which our brains are not built. The filters of our minds limit us.”

Is it possible that our level of technological achievement will exceed the limits to which we have evolved as a species? Are we in effect leaving ourselves behind?

But there is something higher than us already at play here, according to Diane.

“The Level Beyond,” she writes, “is a combination of time travelers, extraterrestrials, and possibly other-dimensional beings. What unites them is not their specific origin but their level of existence. Their craft may vary, but they all share the fact that they are from a level of existence beyond 20th and 21st century Earth.”

Diane draws on the work of Soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev, who in 1964 presented fellow scientists with what is now called the Kardashev Scale, a ranking of civilizations in the universe that runs from Type One through Type Five. Earth at present is at the 0.7 Level of Civilization on the Kardashev Scale. Well-known physicist Dr. Michio Kaku estimates that Earth will attain to Level One in perhaps 100 to 200 years.

Normally, when a “higher level” is referred to, the assumption is that it involves metaphysical or spiritual beliefs. But such is not necessarily the case, according to Diane.

Is the UFO presence on Planet Earth which we’ve called “The Level Beyond,” possibly of this first level of the Kardashev Scale?

“The Level Beyond,” she writes, “which I am hypothesizing as the source of most UFOs and UAPs, is not about any religious or spiritual belief, not about reaching Godhead, ‘The All That Is,’ or Nirvana. This is an advanced level of existence based in science and technology; there are probably good, bad and in between groups and individuals in terms of moral integrity to be found there, but that is just my opinion.”

The forces that drove this higher evolution may have been the circumstances created by technological advances, advances that demanded a shift in both consciousness and physical form. Perhaps the same is happening to us.

“We have been evolving toward this level for many years,” Diane writes, “because evolution is always at work. Some humans have interiorized this upgrade of civilization more than others. Human entanglement with computers and high tech is part of our reaching for a higher ‘altered’ level. Also, the enduring love of millions of people for ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Star Wars,’ and other science fiction is a part of our evolution. This is also true for those who are involved with UFO truth who hope that UFO Disclosure happens soon, so that everyone on the planet will know for sure that we are not alone.”

Beings From Beyond explains that we are not the end of the Human Family. There will be new species of humans, just as Neanderthals and other humans existed in the past. We are only in the middle of the human journey and we will keep changing – unless we destroy ourselves.

Diane Tessman poses with Gabe Green in his Joshua Tree, California, home.

Diane believes that we must keep reaching for the Level Beyond in order to survive as a species and to cope with future scientific advances like time travel and traversing interstellar space.

“Perhaps it is simply time,” she continues, “to leave the comfort of Earth and make an evolutionary step upward and outward, which involves strange new worlds and consciousness. It may be entirely natural.”

Beings From Beyond: They Are Here also includes a chapter that examines the Kardashev Scale in more detail, as well as chapters devoted to the phenomena of bizarre thought-forms called “Tulpas,” time travel, UFO occupants as visitors from our future and much more. Will the evolution of humankind keep pace with our technological advances in these troubled times?

BIZARRE BAZAAR: TIM BECKLEY’S MARKETPLACE OF THE STRANGE

By Sean Casteel

When Timothy Green Beckley died in May 2021, he left behind a paranormal publishing empire that will forever be a testimony to one man’s drive and determination to learn the truth about both our world and the hidden worlds that surround it. His catalogue of books devoted to the strange and supernatural now numbers in the several dozens, dating from the present all the way back to the 1960s, when he began his first publishing ventures as a teenager.

Tim R. Swartz and I have shared the privilege of finishing up some of the incomplete projects that remained after Tim Beckley’s passing, the latest of which is called “Timothy Green Beckley’s Bizarre Bazaar.” The book is a compilation of shorter pieces authored by Beckley, Swartz and I, beginning with an introduction by Beckley’s longtime working partner Carol Ann Rodriguez.

Timothy Green Beckley’s Bizarre Bazaar

Carol provides a rundown of the many authors Tim Beckley brought to the world’s attention over the years, such as contactees George Adamski and George Hunt Williamson, as well as Nick Redfern, John Keel, the Rev. Barry Downing, and Hungarian-born psychic Maria D’Andrea. Tracy Twyman’s “Sex Slaves of the CIA” is an indication, Carol says, of how controversial some of Beckley’s titles can be, making him the “King of Fringe Publishers,” a title he humbly welcomed.

Beckley also edited newsstand publications, like “UFO Universe,” for decades, and paid his dues by working as a freelance contributor to the “Enquirer.” He was invited to speak on the subject of UFOs to a closed-door meeting of the House of Lords in London and visited Loch Ness while in the UK.

Carol concludes by saying, “Truly, it can be said of Timothy Green Beckley what has been said of other greats: His like will not be seen again.”

THE TORCH IS PASSED

As one era ends, another begins. Beckley’s imprints of Inner Light and Global Communications are still in business, (mostly on Amazon.com) but have now been joined by a new imprint run by Tim R. Swartz called Zontar Press. “Timothy Green Beckley’s Bizarre Bazaar” is the first book released by Zontar Press and the hope is that there will be many more.

What can perhaps be most easily appreciated about “Bizarre Bazaar” is how it opens up a window into a large assortment of other books Beckley brought into the world. One of the more “controversial” titles worked on by Tim Swartz and myself, as well as by several other contributors, was Screwed by the Aliens: True Sexual Encounters with ETs.”

THE SEXUAL FACTOR IS EXPLORED

In a chapter in “Bizarre Bazaar” entitled “The Sexterrestrials Are Here – And They Want To Breed With You,” the opening bullets ask: “Are you ready to explore a region of the paranormal that is typically relegated to the ‘ghetto’ neighborhood of UFO research? Does the idea of sex with aliens thrill you or repel you? You will likely be surprised to learn how commonplace sexual incidents onboard the ships and among the aliens truly are. It’s a frequent happenstance, but is rarely talked about, even among diehard believers in alien abduction.”

By employing several writers to tackle the subject of sex with aliens, Beckley was able to provide numerous perspectives on the issue that run the gamut from extremely hostile accusations of rape to more benign beliefs, like a benevolent hybrid breeding program that will ultimately save mankind from total extinction. It was Beckley’s intention to confront the sexual issue head on, from many points of view, and as honestly as the data allow.

A longtime acquaintance of Beckley’s, the artist David Huggins, claimed to have a romantic interstellar relationship with a pretty female alien called “Crescent,” whom Huggins called his “soul mate.” Their relationship lasted for decades and resulted in Crescent bearing the children of Huggins. He filled many canvases depicting his amorous adventures with the otherworldly woman and also put together a movie on their relationship called “Love and Saucers” that is available for streaming On Demand on iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, Google Play and YouTube. It’s a fascinating reversal of the more frequently encountered horrifying atrocities of sex-related UFO experiences and may truly be a case of “Love Triumphant.”

Artist David Huggins insists he has mated with Crescent, a female alien, since the age of 17, and has produced a number of alien children.

When Beckley and his team of researchers were writing “Screwed By The Aliens,” the word “exophiliac” was unearthed. It means “a person who craves sex with aliens.” If, on the other hand, you shy away from the aliens and want them to keep their hands to themselves, you are a bit harder to classify, Beckley explains. “Astrophobia” is a fear of outer space and everything in it, so that would include ETs. “Xenophobia” is a fear of anyone from another place, often defined as “a fear of foreigners.” In any case, Beckley grappled mightily with finding language to fit the phenomenon.

BECKLEY’S SALAD DAYS

A young Tim Beckley speaks at the 1966 Congress of Scientific Ufologists in Cleveland, Ohio.

Beckley’s own contact experiences, as is so often case with those who have a history of encounters, began in his childhood.

In an early chapter of “Bizarre Bazaar,” Beckley writes, “While it is open for debate, I can trace my UFOlogical roots back to 1957, when I sighted two objects revolving overhead in the sky. One was hovering over an abandoned factory building across the street from where l lived in New Jersey, while the other stood still almost perfectly above the house that my grandparents owned. I didn’t observe any portholes, ‘little green men’ didn’t wave at me, but I fully realized – despite a pronouncement by the authorities in the paper a couple of days later to the effect that we were all hypnotized by the appearance of a couple of weather balloons – that these lights, objects, craft (call them what you may) seemed to be under intelligent control. Indeed, they were not bobbing and weaving in the air current. In fact, they seemed to know what they were doing (whatever that was), which I think – at least partly – was to get my attention and push me into unknown territory.”

The sighting experience changed Beckley’s life. He bought all the material he could find on the subject, including a copy of “FATE Magazine,” for whom he would later write as an adult. He started writing letters to the local newspaper, as well as pestering a couple of reporters he knew who shared his thinking on the subject, meaning that we were being observed by someone or something else.

In the ensuing decades, Beckley became an expert on the subject, published several nationally distributed newsstand magazines on UFOs, and eventually built his own micro-mini “empire,” publishing nearly 300 volumes on the paranormal. To see most of them, simply go to Amazon.com and type in Inner Light – Global Communications under Books.

Even more of Beckley’s well-spent youth can be discovered in a reprint of his earlier work called “Inside the Saucers,” which deals further with his adolescence in the thrall of the UFOs. The reprinted book is subtitled “Mr. UFO’s Teenage Years,” and was published in 2017.

Inside the Saucers – Mr. UFOs Teenage Years

“STUMBLE BACK INTO TIME,” the back cover beckons, “WITH THIS GENUINE COLLECTOR’S REPRINT OF A RECENTLY REDISCOVERED UFO CLASSIC.

“HERE, AFTER FIFTY YEARS, ARE THE CONFESSIONS AND RECOLLECTIONS OF A TEEN UFO RESEARCHER TURNED SPACED-OUT ‘STUD.’

“As UFO satirist and ‘Exploring the Bizarre’ co-host Tim Beckley so righteously puts it, ‘A lot of boys my age were probably starting to think about girls and sneaking a peek at their father’s “Playboy” collection. Well, it took me a few years to get into the sins of the flesh (as it turned out, about ten years later I became a reporter for “Hustler” magazine). Instead, at 14 or 15, I was reading magazines like “Fate” and “Flying Saucers From Other Worlds.” And along the way I hooked up with a small collective of other blossoming teenage UFOlogists who eventually became part of the backbone of the field as it exists today: Allen Greenfield, Dave Halperin, Gene Steinberg, Rick Hilberg, Jerry Clark – this is as much the story of the early days of their calling as it is mine.’

“In 1962, Tim Beckley placed a notice in the Club News section of “Flying Saucers” magazine requesting correspondence and an exchange of information with like-minded individuals willing to share their knowledge about those silvery ships seen around the world, best known in those days as ‘flying saucers.’

“Through the personals column of this relatively obscure publication, he met several other teenagers who had started to form their own UFO organizations, so ‘Timmy’ followed suit by setting up “The Interplanetary News Service,” which issued a semi-professional publication that garnered a worldwide circulation of 1500 plus. Many members of his ‘youth group’ were well-established UFO experiencers and elder statesmen in the field. The INS became the third largest UFO group in the nation, behind NICAP and APRO.

“In order to finance his mushrooming enterprise, Beckley began to issue privately published UFO books and literature that would help further the cause and defray his expenses. ‘Inside the Saucers’ was the first such work. It was printed on an old fashioned (appropriately enough) spirit duplicator, and had a print run of 300 copies, which sold out in a matter of months. This ‘new’ edition is an exact replica of that first work, with only the addition of several photos and the elimination of typos.

“Regardless of the age of the authors, as can be rapidly determined, the writing is polished and sophisticated for its time in the history of UFO research. In this reprint of a rare collector’s item, you will become personally involved in a discussion of the following ‘long lost’ topics: A possible solution to the mystery of the Men In Black; How some UFOs may be the product of Nazi technology (a prediction made years before this concept was put forward seriously elsewhere); Possible synchronicities associated with the Great Pyramid; The Unidentified Submerged Object that plunged into a New Jersey reservoir; A recap of the most dramatic UFO sightings and encounters from this period by “UFO Encyclopedia” author Jerome Clark; A detailed summary of 15 years of UFO research by George D. Fawcett; AND MUCH MORE!

“The late Brad Steiger, a longtime master of paranormal literature, had these fond comments: ‘Bless all those Teen UFOlogists! They were great supporters of a young Brad as he began his UFO career with “Strangers From The Skies” in 1966. . . Forever allies!’”

A DEMON WITH BLOOD ON ITS HANDS?

Amityville.

The very name of the small Long Island, New York, community instantly conjures visions of horror, of a death-dealing psychopath laying waste his parents, two sisters and two brothers with a Marlin rifle. The egregious murders were chronicled in both a bestselling book and a major Hollywood studio movie and have become, pardon the pun, a “household name”: The Amityville Horror.

The convicted killer was Ronald DeFeo, Jr., whom one judge called “the devil incarnate.” DeFeo told varying versions of what happened the night of November 13, 1974, including the claim that he was possessed by an evil spirit and had committed the crime through no free will of his own.

While it is of course impossible to decide the existence or nonexistence of the devil and his demons in a court of law, the evil-spirit-possession argument was entered along with an insanity plea. Ultimately, Defeo received a 25 years to life sentence for each of his victims and remains in prison today.

But is it so easy to simply scoff at Defeo’s claim to have been an unwitting agent for the devil? Could it possibly be that Defeo was telling the truth of what happened?

This is one of many issues dealt with in the book issued by Timothy Green Beckley’s Global Communications/Conspiracy Journal publishing house. Entitled “Amityville and Beyond, The Lore of the Poltergeist and Other Petrifying Paranormal Phenomena,” the book breaks new ground in making some overdue correlations between spirit possession, ghosts and even the UFO/alien presence. What Beckley and his writers are aiming for is to make apparent an overarching “theory of everything” that ties up the loose ends of many different forms of paranormal activity in the world today.

A PARANORMAL RESEARCHER’S EARLY POLTERGEIST ENCOUNTER

Paul Eno

Paul Eno is among the topnotch researchers Beckley assembled for the writing of “Amityville and Beyond.” Currently Eno hosts, along with his son Ben, a radio show called “Behind the Paranormal” based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

“American history is full of poltergeists and nasty and vengeful spirits,” Eno writes. “We’ve written about the Bell Witch that frightened a U.S. president so badly that he fled in the early morning hours from a Tennessee homestead. Furthermore, this book contains the full story of the dreadful Amherst poltergeist, which is just as scary as any similar saga of evil you are likely to hear about from an historical perspective.

“My attitude about such cases,” Eno continues, “is a bit more ‘radical’ than the views of other researchers, who tend to treat such poltergeist outbreaks as either restless spirits gone awry or put them in the general category of a purely psychological manifestation attributable to the witnesses’ psychological state. I see such outbreaks more akin to a crossing of parallel dimensions by a variety of beings often mistaken for the undead – though they seem to have, in many instances, the same attributes as so-called ‘aliens.’ Even cryptids from the darkest realms of our minds have recently been brought into the poltergeist equation.”

Here Eno has very succinctly expressed the overall theme of Amityville and Beyond,” that aliens and cryptid creatures like Dogmen are cut from the same cloth as “noisy ghosts” and possessive demons. Eno at one time was an assistant to the famed Ed and Lorraine Warren, the husband/wife paranormal researchers whose work has been the subject of the movies “The Conjuring” and “The Conjuring 2.”

In November 1974, Eno found himself on Lindley Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut, along with Ed, Lorraine and Father William Charbonneau, and an indeterminate number of police and reporters. And a very frightened little family.

The Goodin house in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

“The latter consisted of Gerard Goodin and his adopted daughter and only child, Marcia (pronounced Mar-SEE-a),” Eno writes. “Shortly Mom (Laura Goodin) returned from the St. Vincent’s Hospital Emergency Room with her right big toe bandaged. It had been broken by a flying television set. The house itself was a mess. ‘The Thing,’ as Laura called it, had been tearing pictures, especially religious objects, off the wall all morning. A priest had come to bless the house, apparently to no avail.”

Calling it the best-witnessed poltergeist event in history, Eno says that violent phenomena were witnessed by almost 100 people in the Bridgeport outbreak. Eno was on the scene himself when some of the bizarre incidents transpired.

“I stood in the kitchen,” Eno writes, “with three firefighters on one side of me and three police officers on the other and watched the refrigerator float off the floor, turn right, turn back, then settle gently back to the floor. Late in the evening of that first day, I was sitting at the kitchen table with Lorraine. Also in the kitchen was a huge police officer, Ed Warren and a reporter from WNAB Radio. Lorraine suddenly let out a yelp. I watched as a second-degree burn, with its trademark white blister, appeared on Lorraine’s left hand, between thumb and forefinger. This was all caught on the radio reporter’s tape, which still exists. You can hear a youthful me stating, ‘There’s a blister forming!’”

TOUCHING THE NEAR-INVISIBLE

At another point during Eno’s visits to the Bridgeport home, he was alone in the house with the Goodins, playing monopoly with Marcia to pass the time and to help her relax.

“Suddenly an acrid smell, like ozone mixed with sulfur, came from the kitchen,” Eno recounts. “Instantly Gerard Goodin was up, dashed into the kitchen and started chanting in Latin! My skin tingled with an electrical charge that I now associate with the electromagnetic ‘branes,’ as physicists call them, presumably the boundaries between parallel worlds.

“A whitish, gauzy cloud began to form in the kitchen,” Eno continues, “and Goodin was back in the living room at once. I was convinced that four entities were ‘arriving’ in the kitchen from Marcia’s adjacent bedroom. They weren’t entirely invisible, and there were four distinct shapes coming from the kitchen in a line. They were each about four and a half feet high and had rounded tops, with no discernible head or shoulders.”

Goodin saw the figures also, and he followed one as it moved from the kitchen. As the mystery entities entered the living room one by one, Laura Goodin started to cry while Marcia clung to Eno for comfort. Then one of the almost-invisible things approached Eno and stopped.

“That’s when I made my mistake,” Eno confesses. “I began to feel angry toward this thing, which at the time I thought was a demon in the classic, theological sense. I was angry because it was obviously trying to get to this child. The whatever-it-was simply fed on the negative energy I was releasing and grew stronger.

Poltergeist victim Marcia gives her pet a big hug while trying to put the events of the past out of her mind.

“What happened next was the biggest shock I’d experienced in paranormal work up to that time. As the entity moved to get around me and at the girl, I instinctively pushed toward it. It resisted as though it was entirely material. In fact, I felt flesh and bone structure as if this were a solid being. These ‘demons’ were supposed to be spirits!”

Eno says it took him many years to come to grips with the experience, let alone explain it in terms of parallel worlds. He never even reported it to the Warrens, and it was decades before he could write or speak about it.

“While I stood there dazed,” he continues, “the entity got around me and threw Marcia across the living room. She ran back to me, crying. Finally, as the gauzy cloud inundated the whole interior of the house, and as I tired from, I would say today, being drained by this powerful parasite, I ordered everyone outside.”

Although the police had cleared away the crowds and cordoned off both ends of Lindley Street, there were still thousands of onlookers gawking from each end of the block.

“I could hear a voice in the crowd,” Eno writes, “preaching something about all this being a ‘sign of the end.’ These being the days long before cell phones, I had to use a neighbor’s phone to call the Warrens. It took them an hour to get back into the city because of all the traffic caused by this paranormal circus. When they finally arrived at about 9:15 P.M., we all reentered the house. Things were quiet.”

When Eno writes about the creature he pushed against as being almost invisible yet possessing a flesh and bone structure, what manner of being is this? It sounds not unlike the physical-yet-not-physical “bodies” of the familiar gray aliens whose stock in trade is the abduction of chosen subjects for whatever dark reasons are left for us to discover. As Eno so clearly explains, the aliens and demons who cross between dimensions may be one and the same entity but are given different names in scripture and folklore that vary according to who encounters the strange interlopers.

AND THEN THE TERROR SPOKE . . .

Evil speaking voices are also dealt with in a chapter of “Amity and Beyond” by Tim R. Swartz called “When the Poltergeist Finds Its Voice.”

“It can be terrifying enough,” Swartz writes, “when a poltergeist makes its appearance in a household. Rocks thrown about, strange bangs on the walls, moving furniture, items disappearing and then reappearing – this is enough to set anyone on edge. However, when a poltergeist finds its voice and starts to talk, you know that events have decidedly taken a turn for the worse.

“Poltergeist activity has been recorded throughout history,” Swartz goes on, “and is probably the most prolific of all supernatural events. A poltergeist is extremely aware of its surroundings and will often quickly respond to suggestions by observers and other external stimuli. This shows that there is some kind of ‘intelligence’ behind its pranks and not just some random psychokinesis (PK). This intelligence, along with an ability to communicate, will manifest in a myriad of ways. Pieces of paper with strange messages appear; writing on the walls; children’s toys will be arranged to make words; and, perhaps the most shocking, they will sometimes start to speak out loud.”

A poltergeist is known to create all sorts of havoc in a household.

According to Swartz, when a poltergeist achieves speech, it generally starts as animal-like growls and whispers that slowly evolve into discernible words. Most poltergeists never reach this stage in their development, but, once they do, a clear “personality” emerges from what were previously just random events.

Swartz recounts some case histories in the annals of poltergeist hauntings in which the intruding spirit spoke to its victims.

The 1817 case of the “Bell Witch,” the name for the poltergeist who took up residence among a Tennessee farming family headed by John Bell, Sr., is an interesting example. “The Witch” was extremely talkative and could imitate the voices of people from the area.

“The poltergeist was said to speak at a nerve-wracking pitch when displeased,” Swartz reports, “while at other times it sang and talked in low musical tones. In one instance, it was alleged to have repeated, verbatim, sermons administered by two preachers, occurring at separate locations, that took place simultaneously. The sermons recited by the witch were verified by people attending the churches as being identical in voice, tone, inflection and content. The poltergeist was even known to attend church and sing along with the congregation, using the most beautiful voice anyone had ever heard.”

Stories of a talking mongoose named Gef, who bedeviled an Irish family in the 1930s, as well as the tale of a Spanish family who heard maniacal laughter and voices emanating from their kitchen stove, help to round out Swartz’s examination of real-life incidents of “talking” spirits.

He also touches on the Middle Eastern folklore and Islamic theology dealing with the “djinn,” or genies, who can take possession of buildings or locations and torment any person who goes to live there. The djinn can levitate and cause objects to disappear as well as take any physical form they want – humans, animals and anything else. They can mimic the voices of deceased humans, claiming to be spirits or Satan. They enjoy playing tricks and frightening people. In fact, they can sense strong emotions such as fear or grief and gain energy from those powerful feelings.

“Like humans,” Swartz writes, “the djinn have distinct personalities. There are those who are of low intelligence, quick to anger and fond of playing tricks. Others have a superior intellect and act more along the lines of guardian angels rather than tricksters.”

DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF TIMOTHY GREEN BECKLEY

July 13, 1947 – May 31, 2021

When Timothy Green Beckley passed away on May 31, 2021, he left behind a body of work that has few equals in the realms of Ufology and the paranormal.

A dapper Timothy Green Beckley

Tim steadfastly pursued the truth underlying the great mysteries of human existence, beginning as a child, hiding underneath his bed covers to read “FATE Magazine” by flashlight or listening to all-night paranormal radio host Long John Nebel, whose call-in show on a major New York station became the template for shows that came later, like Art Bell’s Coast to Coast. In the early 1960s, Tim began his publishing efforts as a teenager, grinding out UFO magazines on an old-fashioned mimeograph machine and building a goodly-sized mailing list of subscribers.

Working as a freelance stringer for The National Enquirer, he covered a great many stories of UFO landings and alien abductions. Tim thus earned a kind of “street cred” as a journalist of off-the-beaten-path type subjects. For a time he published a newsstand magazine called “UFO Universe” that ran for several years, as well as the newsletter “The Conspiracy Journal,” which got its title long before Q-Anon gave conspiracy theory a bad name.

Tim was even better known for the books he published through his Global Communications and Inner Light Books publishing houses. Most of them are still available from Amazon.com. Do a search there and you may be pleasantly surprised at the wealth of what is on offer.

For the sake of paying homage to “Mr. UFO,” we have assembled memories and testimonials from some of Tim’s most prolific and – and grateful – authors and friends.

TIMOTHY BECKLEY- ALWAYS A FREE SPIRIT

By Maria D’Andrea   MsD, D.D.,DRH

Maria D’Andrea is a fulltime psychic who wrote several books that Tim published, books she always adamantly declared were written to be used only in the most positive of ways. She wrote several “How-To” books that teach the reader to awaken the psychic powers within and put them to benevolent use for a myriad of reasons. One of Maria’s titles is Supernatural Words of Power,” part of her “Yes, You Can!” series in which she helps the reader achieve a kind of “self-empowerment.” She also contributed chapters to many books Tim assembled as group efforts in which several writers would offer their insight into a given paranormal topic.

******

Tim affected so many lives while he was on this planet that we can’t even count all of them. With his passing, we are also finding out about things he did to help others that he never spoke about. He just helped everyone he cared about without looking for a “thank you” or acknowledgements. He never mentioned when he was buying food for someone, paying someone’s rent, contributing to helping someone’s career or any of the other selfless things he did. He truly came from his heart and will be deeply missed.

Tim Beckley searches for akualeles/UFOs on Oahu.

I met Tim in 1985, when I was working at a psychic event doing Readings. He was already accomplished doing eight million things in his life, and was there promoting his books as a publisher. We started chatting and realized we had much in common and were in sync on a friendship level. Because of our levels of knowledge in the spiritual, psychic, paranormal and UFO fields, he asked me to write a book for him. I explained that I’d never written one. He countered by explaining that I COULD and gave me a subject he needed a book on at the time. So I gave him the first chapter. After he stopped laughing, he said, “I told you so. And we’re going to do a lot more.”

Now I laugh because Tim started me on this path with support and friendship. I have somewhere around 60 books out, including several that I co-authored with talented people.  I was a guest on Tim’s radio show with his co-host Tim Swartz, (Tim was also gracious enough to be on my TV and radio show). I was also able to do numerous  types of media work, as well as teaching and speaking in my fields and so on…and it ALL stemmed from him having a gigantic heart and introducing me to many different fields years ago.

He was my confidant, close friend, family, travel partner, publisher and partner in crime. Free spirits tend to be this way, right? Tim was always funny. He would come up with hilarious thoughts in an instant and then forget about them. I wish I remembered all of them because they would have made a great book.

He would go to some of the same places to eat in his neighborhood in Manhattan and got to know the people who were working there. At times, some of us would get together and go. He would already know what to recommend off the menu that was good and he knew each of us enough to recommend food that fit our individual tastes. Tim loved to get us experimenting with different foods. He was very aware and thoughtful that way.

He knew at an early age what his Path of Life was. He started a magazine while young and expanded his horizons as he went along life’s pathways.

I remember when we would go ghost hunting in various states. Even though it was for work, we always had fun. I would find the spirit, if there was one (if a sighting wasn’t real, he would never make something up) check it out, deal with whatever came up and Tim would write about the experience as a prolific author and speak about it in the media. He loved to enlighten the public on the odd things in our universe.

His sense of humor was always there. We would send pictures back and forth as friends and then we would have separate work pictures. He would call me and come up with a title and just say for me to write a book about the subject. Teamwork is always a good thing. So on one occasion, his title for me was Traveling The Waves Of Time” and he put a “friend” picture on the back cover. First I was a little upset, because it was a picture of me on my motorcycle, and here I am being professional. When I called him, Tim said he thought it worked because the book was on travel and that’s what I was doing. He thought it fit and was fun. What can I say? That was Tim.

Psychic and Spiritual Counselor Maria D’Andrea

Another time we spoke about our various UFO experiences He had a few and he also had experiences channeling. He traveled to numerous places on a global level. Tim said one of his favorite places was Bora Bora. I remember him telling me about his visit to Hawaii and the book that came from traveling there. After his book came out about Kahuna Power, for a while we were calling him Daddy Kahuna. He always found out the most interesting, obscure information and then wrote about what he discovered. He was a phenomenal researcher and author. Tim was interested in everything from science to the mystical and the other realms beyond.

He was a filmmaker and also acted in some films, plus he was in a book where he looked very “dapper.”

Once during our travels, we were reminiscing, and he told me how, many years ago, he went to a party thrown by the Beatles with sitar music and rock stars among the guests. I was asking more about the party and he looked at me and said it was just one more great party he went to. He loved parties. It just goes to show you how much he got around. Tim was an experienced promoter and had his own band for a while. That is only one example of the interesting contacts he had and many turned into lifelong friends. Tim was really great at anything he set his mind to.

He loved to travel and when we would go on a trip I would love to listen to his stories and adventures. He was a larger-than-life person without any ego and a soft heart.

We would go to UFO conventions and people would know him and ask his opinion on various matters. He would take the time to give them a real answer from his point of view and not just give a meaningless quick one, even when he was tired.

The title “Mr. UFO,” as Tim was known in many circles, came about due to his articles, lectures, books and magazines being on the supernatural, the odd, the offbeat and the unexplained.

There’s no doubt that I loved Tim very much and that he was there for me when it came to my work and my personal life. But if I were to sit here and write about all of his adventures I would be afraid that the police would have to dig him up and arrest him.

I am sure there are beings in various realms mourning Tim and wondering what he is up to where he is. After all, being inspirit doesn’t mean it is an ending, just a different vibrational shift.

He was so diverse that it’s impossible to mention all that he was and all that he did. Anyone knowing Tim was going to enter into unknown territory in a wonderful way. I feel blessed to have been his friend and considered part of his family.

FIRST CONTACT! – WITH TIMOTHY GREEN BECKLEY

By Diane Tessman

Diane Tessman is another fulltime psychic, in her case in partnership with an alien named “Tibus” that Diane has been familiar with since childhood. She wrote for Tim extensively and he published her first book in 1983, as well as serving as a constant source of guidance and encouragement for her as a writer. When you read what Diane says below here, you will likely agree that Tim was truly a great romantic at heart. He frequently referred to Diane as a “Time Traveling Star Goddess,” among other worshipful monikers.

In 1979, I was teaching school in St. Petersburg, Florida, and, in my spare time, I was chasing UFOs and their secrets, as always. I enjoyed UFO Review, published out of New York City by Timothy Green Beckley. I decided to submit an article to it. However, nothing happened, no response, and I thought, “Oh, well.”

Then one evening at home in St. Pete, I heard a knock on my door, and there was Timothy Green Beckley! I was shocked and delighted; I asked if he always flew around the country to see someone who had sent him an article.

Tim responded, “Well, you sent your picture too.”

Yes, Tim and the ladies were a match made in heaven.

Tim Beckley with Diane Tessman at drumming circle.

He took me to dinner at the fanciest place I could find in St. Pete (that was his request), and we did have a good talk regarding those elusive UFOs and their occupants. The next day, Tim took my daughter Gianna and me to the beach. Then he flew back to New York.

We kept phone contact but not a whole lot of it, and in 1982, my daughter, our animals, and I, moved to San Diego. I had intended to get into teaching out there but could not. A hiring freeze was in effect due to a recession, plus I didn’t have my master’s degree.

I was soon in real financial trouble out there. However, there was a knock on my door in San Diego, and there was Timothy Green Beckley, again!

This time he stayed a while, and he suggested to me that I do psychic readings door to door. I had never heard of such a thing, but he put an ad in the local Reader, and I nervously began a psychic career. It turned out really well; Tim had gotten me out of my financial bad straits.

Soon I was writing my own publication, The Star Network Heartline, and Tim promoted my work, suggesting I write my first book, “The Transformation.” I did, he published it, and it sold thousands of copies. My life’s career had begun, and I’ve never looked back. Thanks, Tim!

Also, my lifelong friendship with Tim Beckley had begun. We were business friends, we were personal friends. I treasure the Christmas I spent with him and Brad and Sherry Steiger. Tim had come to Iowa to spend Christmas with us and we had a wonderful time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vAxXRbgy8

I miss you, Tim.

THE HONOR OF WORKING FOR TIMOTHY BECKLEY

By Hercules Invictus

Hercules Invictus is a fairly recent addition to Tim’s stable of writers, though he took inspiration from Tim for many decades. Hercules takes his name from the hero of Greek mythology and believes the gods of Olympus live on in our modern world, albeit filtered through a technological haze that we call UFOs and aliens. Over the past few years, Hercules has contributed chapters to books like “Incredible Alien Encounters,” for which he wrote “A Confrontation With Greys,” as well as numerous others.

Hercules Invictus

I first became aware of Tim Beckley and Inner Light/Global Communications back in the 1970s. Having had paranormal experiences throughout my (then) young life, I eagerly sought some answers, and Tim’s publishing companies provided not only reprints of obscure and hard to find texts but collections of ongoing phenomena on our planet and in the heavens above.

Comforted by learning that I was not alone, I fervently hoped that someday my own accounts would be added to these chronicles. I started writing down some of my own experiences.

In the latter half of the decade (though still technically a teen) I was the Deep Trance Medium for a small Theosophical-Spiritualist group in New York City and had started speaking publicly on matters metaphysical.

Invited to visit relatives in New Brunswick, New Jersey, I leapt at the chance. Though I truly loved these relatives and sincerely wished to see and spend time with them, I also had an ulterior motive: New Brunswick was the point of origin of my cherished tomes from Inner Light/ Global Communications. Questing for the writers and their offices did not prove fruitful on that occasion – but I tried, given the time I had.

During the 1980s I attempted to live a “normal” life. Tim Beckley (aka Mr. UFO) and his intrepid band of explorers and chroniclers of the unknown provided me with a much-needed connection to the unusual life (I thought) I’d left behind through their many publications.

Tim and his late friend the highly controversial John Keel, author of Mothman Prophecies and other pop items.

The 1990s dawned with my re-embracing my totality and diving back into the fringes of reality. I finally met Tim Beckley and some of my other heroes at the Fortean Society’s formal meetings and informal gatherings in the Big Apple.

In the early 2000s I reconnected with Tim (aka Mr. Creepo) and got to know him. He was, during this period, cheerfully engaged in publishing, making movies and having other exciting adventures. I reviewed some of these books, CDs and films and interviewed some of the folks involved on my podcasts – including Tim Beckley.

This continued on and off for over a decade. I got to meet many interesting people through Tim and have gotten close with some of them. The end of the 2010s saw me as a contributor to Tim’s paranormal anthologies and by the start of the 2020s my writings had appeared in sixteen of these books.

Tim, alas, passed on May 31st, 2021. Though we were not buddies, we were friendly and had communicated for a long span of years. I greatly enjoyed working (and interacting) with Tim. He was one of my role models growing up and I was greatly honored to be part of his band of otherworldly chroniclers. Looking back, my only regret is my decision to wait until he felt better before I called to say “Hi! How are you?” and explore what projects were looming on the horizon.

Thank you, Tim Beckley, for enriching over half a century of my life with your unique self-expression, generosity and unbridled creativity! And thanks to all who have kept and who will continue to keep Tim Beckley’s legacy alive!

Onwards!

TIMOTHY GREEN BECKLEY: THE TEACHER WHO OPENED MY EYES

By Sean Casteel

By the time Sean Casteel began writing for Timothy Green Beckley, he had already spent years toiling in the world of mainstream journalism, writing about government programs that worked to help the poor and disabled and other attempts to cure America’s social ills in general. When Casteel discovered the world of UFOs and alien abductions, an entirely new career opened up for him and he never looked back. Casteel contributed articles to “UFO Universe” and “The Conspiracy Journal” for many years before Tim began publishing Casteel’s books. Tim not only let Casteel write books on his own favorite topics, like UFOs and religion, he brought Casteel into new worlds the freelancer had never even dreamed of. Casteel’s first book was called “UFOs, Prophecy and the End of Time,” and is still available on Amazon.com.

******

Tim Beckley and Sean Casteel

In spite of knowing that Tim had been in failing health for the last several years, his sudden death by heart attack still came as quite a shock, a shock that lingers now and a loss that will be felt forever.

I first began to work for Tim in earnest in the winter of 1995, after he had published my Q and A with pioneering abduction researcher Budd Hopkins and subsequently my Q and A with film director Robert Wise, who had helmed the UFO classic “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” Thus began the 26 years of our relationship, which would involve magazine articles, books and appearances on Tim’s podcast, “Exploring the Bizarre,” cohosted with Tim R. Swartz.

Tim Beckley once told me that there were two basic kinds of UFO enthusiasts. There are the dilettantes, who are at first totally absorbed by the topic, but then, when their personal pet theory doesn’t work out or they must confront the fact that absolute answers to the various mysteries remain elusive, abandon the subject in frustration.

Then Tim said that the other kind of UFO enthusiast is a “lifer,” someone whose devotion to finding out the truth is at times obsessive but never flags or weakens as the years go by. Tim was certainly such a lifer himself, and he died in the midst of laboring over yet another book, in this case an examination of the alleged joint human/alien underground facility said to be located in Dulce, New Mexico. He left no stone unturned as he chipped away at the boulder that is the unknown and the paranormal.

Like many of his generation, Tim started out as a “nuts-and-bolts” believer, at first convinced that UFOs were a higher physical technology piloted by flesh-and-blood aliens. As the years passed, he more and more embraced the nonphysical, paranormal approach, believing that the visitors were from another dimension and capable of many phenomena we call “supernatural.” Or at least an advanced technology that seems supernatural to we humans.

Tim ultimately espoused the theory that UFOs, ghosts, NDEs, spiritualism, etc., were all part of one continuum and that mankind was subject to a large spectrum of phenomena that sprang from a single source. When you studied one facet of the paranormal, it always included ties to another facet.

In his later years as a publisher, Tim struggled mightily with the dark side of the subject. Titles likeScrewed by the Aliens” and “UFO Hostilities and the Evil Alien Agenda” mince no words about his sometimes negative take on the UFO occupants.

Tim in Jerome, AZ. Photo by Charla Gené

But he will likely be remembered for his lighter take as well. The last book Tim and his team of writers completed before his death was Alien Lives Matter, It’s OK To Be Grey.” Even though some of us on Tim’s team thought the title might be seen as “trivializing” the Black Lives Matter Civil Rights movement, Tim countered by saying that the concept had been appropriated already by Hawaiians (Hawaiian Lives Matter) and Jewish people (Jewish Lives Matter) and there was even a section on Amazon where a totally separate business was selling “Alien Lives Matter” t-shirts.

The book turned out to be a struggle for Tim and our entire team, but it also turned out to be a relative bestseller for us. Whenever I spoke the title to someone, it never failed to get a chuckle and a word of encouragement about how it would be a popular title, and it was. Tim made sure to include several chapters on Black UFO experiencers and believers as well, people whose contacts were for the most part very positive.

I can never thank Tim enough for exposing me to so many aspects of the paranormal that I had never taken an interest in prior to working for him. I was called upon to research subjects like ghosts and hauntings, mediums and séances, even the clairaudience of Joan of Arc and the spiritualist beliefs of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Tim had a way of leading me down paths I’d never trod before and expanding my horizons considerably.

Toward the end of his life, he did combat with his own understanding of the determinism of “the Matrix,” and gathered his team together to do a book on it with the wordy title “The Matrix Control System of Philip K. Dick and the Paranormal Synchronicities of Timothy Green Beckley.” It was a subject he sometimes saw the malevolent side of as he wondered whether “synchronistic” experiences, or “nonrandom coincidences,” somehow undermined human free will. If our lives are not under our own control, then who IS controlling everything? Like Jacob wrestling with the angel in the Book of Genesis, Tim made a determined combat to maintain his sense of personal autonomy.

Tim Beckley will always be an inspiration to me and a person I am glad to have shared my life with.

MY FRIEND, TIMOTHY GREEN BECKLEY

By Tim R. Swartz

One of the first books about UFOs that Tim R. Swartz bought from Gray Barker’s Saucerian Press turned out to be the first book that Timothy Green Beckley wrote…”The Shaver Mystery and the Inner Earth.” Even thought they didn’t realize it at the time, Tim R. Swartz and Tim Beckley’s paths would cross several times before they actually met. Starting when he was a teenager, Tim R. Swartz investigated and wrote about UFOs and the paranormal for various UFO-related magazines, but his career in television often sidelined his interest and research in the world of the weird. Thanks to Timothy Green Beckley, Tim was able to renew his love for the unexplained and reach a worldwide audience who was eager to learn just how wonderfully strange our universe actually is.

******

Tim Beckley and Tim R. Swartz on Exploring the Bizarre

Timothy Green Beckley was such a unique and charismatic character that I wish the way we first got to know each other was as spectacular as the way he lived his life.

Our first introduction, however, came about thanks to the United States Air Force.

In 1983, when I was working for a television station in Dayton, Ohio, I was able to secure an interview with UFO investigator J. Allen Hynek.  Hynek was in town to give a talk about Project Blue Book at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

After my story ran on the local news, it was picked up by the CBS satellite feed, which allowed CBS stations all across the country to run the story as well.  Timothy Green Beckley saw my story on WCBS in New York and managed to track me down to ask for a VHS copy and a transcript, which I was happy to provide for him.

From that point on, barely a week went by where I didn’t hear from Tim one way or another.  He would either call me, or send me a letter (this was pre-internet), to talk about UFOs, movies, or any of the other things that we were mutually interested in.

When he started publishing “UFO Universe,” he asked me if I would be interested in providing him with some articles, do research and help punch up articles from other writers.  Of course I was excited to help out with his new UFO magazines…I had written articles for magazines like “Saga’s UFO Report” when I was in college, but it had been years since I had written anything for publication.

Tim Beckley, aka “Mr. Creepo” with his alien entourage.

From magazines to books, to direct to video movies, Timothy Green Beckley was always coming out with new and interesting things for us to attempt. I often thought his ideas were insane, and I would tell him so…but, for the most part, I was always game to go along with his crazy ideas simply because they sounded like fun.

If you listen to any archived episode of our radio show “Exploring the Bizarre,” which aired on the KCOR Digital Radio Network, you can hear how much fun we were having, and Tim was always a treasure trove of UFO knowledge.  In fact, the rare times that at the last minute, one of our guests couldn’t do the show, Tim and I could easily do the entire two-hours just talking about all of the weird things in this world that forever intrigued us.

It is difficult to write about all the great times that Timothy Green Beckley and I had because I never thought they would end. I keep expecting him to call me up with another of his wild adventures…in fact, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he did manage to do so from wherever he has gone after leaving this mortal coil.

So when my days on this planet draw to a close, I hope that Mr. UFO swings by on his mothership to pick me up so we can continue on with our adventures.  This time, however, there will be no limits; we will have the entire universe to explore.  I am looking forward to that.

THE STRANGE STORY OF THE MAN WHO SAVED THE LIFE OF A SPACE ALIEN – WHO THEN BECAME HIS LIFELONG FRIEND

By Sean Casteel

A NOTE FROM PUBLISHER AND EDITOR TIMOTHY GREEN BECKLEY:

Many of you have undoubtedly read “UFO Repeaters – Seeing Is Believing! – The Camera Doesn’t Lie,” in which we told the stories of those who have undergone repeated encounters with UFOnauts. But no one has had the abundant contacts that the author of this charming little book claims to have had – and his story is over a century old. Sean and I expound upon this delightful example of the UFO phenomenon as related in this book about a man whose life was turned around – in a positive fashion – by his saving the life of an alien.

The modern era of UFO contactees is most often said to have begun in the late 1940s when George Adamski encountered Orthon, a blond-haired, blue-eyed Nordic-looking entity, in the California desert. Adamski would go on to make a career writing and lecturing about the aliens with whom he was “in contact,” thus the term “contactees.”

But in a recent repackaging of a book about another classic contactee case, called “Starfall: I Saved the Life of a Space Alien,” publisher Timothy Green Beckley has pushed the beginnings of the contactee phenomenon back to more than two decades prior to Adamski, to 1920, to be exact, and offers the story of the very first contactee, one Albert Coe. Coe writes about his experiences in a first-person, autobiographical manner, finally revealing what he had promised his alien friend he would keep secret.

A CHANCE ENCOUNTER – WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

Article about Albert Coe’s alien encounter from the April 26, 1976 issue of the Midnight newspaper.

“The author’s experience has been lost to time and space,” Beckley explains, “with Coe having passed away several decades ago. But we are determined to provide a legacy for him. This is his story. His cosmic adventure began when he was enjoying some fishing in a remote section of the Canadian woods. He happened to stumble across an alien in distress with a very badly injured leg.”

Coe himself writes that, “I was climbing up the side of an outcropping of rocks. Near the top, I heard a muffled cry for help. I looked around, but could see no one, for the area was thickly overgrown. So I climbed up over the edge and let out a yell. Slightly to the right and ahead of me came an answer: ‘Oh, help, help me.’”

Within minutes, Coe came face-to-face with an alien who looked as human as any one of us. The alleged alien was called “Zret,” a reworking of the letters in “Mister X” spelled backwards and shortened. The alien was close to death and extremely grateful to be lifted out of the narrowing crevice in which he had been trapped. Coe told the alien he was canoeing in the area with a friend and planned to rejoin him soon.

THE SECRET ‘PLANE’

Coe was shocked to see that Zret’s plane wasn’t like any type of aircraft he had ever seen before.

Zret told Coe that he was not himself canoeing but had come to the area in a plane, which was parked in a clearing three or four hundred yards downstream. When Coe offered to help Zret go back to his plane, the offer was declined. Zret finally gave in and agreed to have Coe help him, but on the condition that Coe promised not to divulge to anyone, not even his fishing buddy, anything that had taken place or whatever he might see.

Zret then told Coe a complete fabrication, saying his father had developed a new kind of plane that was still in the experimental stage and highly secret. As sort of a test, Zret’s father had permitted him to use the plane for this fishing trip. With Coe half-supporting and half-carrying Zret over some rough spots, they finally made their way to a small clearing.

“The clearing was not more than seventy or eighty feet wide,” Coe writes, “and near its center stood his ‘plane.’ I had been trying to figure out how to get a plane in or out of there, without hitting a tree or protruding rocks. What secret gimmick could launch one without a runway? I had fully expected to see some type of conventional aircraft, and the reason for the reluctance in my accompanying him became crystal clear, for what I was looking at astounded me!

“A round silver disc, about twenty feet in diameter, was standing on three legs,” he continues, “in the form of a tripod, without propeller, engine, wings or fuselage. He said, ‘Surprised?’ That wasn’t actually the word for it, but I did not press him with questions, realizing he was suffering a great deal of pain.”

Zret then boards the ship. It lifted a few feet above the ground and paused with a slight fluttering and then swiftly rose with effortless ease and was gone. Coe headed back to camp to join his friend. He was left with an uneasy feeling, of witnessing something that did not actually exist, an impression of disconnected sequences only found in dreams.

THE FRIENDSHIP BEGINS AND THE NATURE OF GOD IS DISCUSSED

During the fishing trip rescue incident, Zret had asked Coe for his name and address. Six months later, Coe received a letter from Zret inviting him to lunch. Thus began a lifelong friendship between Coe and Zret in which the alien answered Coe’s numerous questions and provided him with an alien’s perspective on mankind and our struggle with life on Earth.

For example, Coe asked Zret about the nature and reality of God.

“The glimmerings of present religious beliefs or philosophies on your planet,” Zret told him, “stretch into its dim, unrecorded mists of 10,000 years but did not become an obsession of the mind until about 8800 years ago. But its fragmentary principles were nurtured on greed, fear and a lack of complete understanding that eventually developed the mental hybrid which has given life to the millions of gods, totems, images and charms.”

Each of the myriad groupings of men contributed an imaginative piece of this mysterious puzzle of creation and the personification of energy, as godhead, to which he endowed his own exclusive emotion of love and its opposite. Mankind attempted to control his environment through a cajoling or appeasement of these fearful and incomprehensible forces of nature, in the supplication of prayer or ritual of sacrifice.

Each tribe or race created its own “True God” or complex of “True Gods,” and although they all worshipped the same true essence in the Deity, selfishness led to the narrow-minded chaos of intolerance and brutality as each sect has fought to defend or impose on others its own conception of this divinity.

According to Zret, Christian doctrine combines several branches from earlier cosmologies, notably Magi, Egyptian, Babylonian and Hebrew, along with the findings of later Greek philosophers in their diligent search for the primal stuff from which everything is made.

THE DESECRATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Zret seemed to foretell our present struggles with global warming and ecological pollution.

“I cannot but wonder,” he said, “how long this heritage of beauty that nature so lavishly entrusted to the custody of Earthmen will endure. I have watched the green mantles of her hills and forests converted into the green of dollar bills, her sparking waters thoughtlessly desecrated by pollution of population and industry, because it is a convenient and ‘economical’ means of disposal, the birds and magnificence of her wildlife on land and in the sea decimated for profit or sport.”

Zert wondered if humanity would pollute the Earth into extinction because of their love for money.

Zret ponders the possibility that nature, in bringing forth man, may have created one of the greater potentials of destructive force in the universe, if sadistic motivation is coupled to mental genius.

ENCOUNTERING THE SHY PRIMITIVES

Coe was also told of an early pioneering flight to Planet Earth that Zret’s ancient ancestors had made. At one point, shortly after landing, Zret’s people met a group of six Earth children.

“They came forward slowly, hesitantly” Zret recounted, “with several backward glances. Six small, light blue-skinned female children, with brown eyes and straight black hair. All were naked and, although they were very cautious, they seemed a bit more curious than frightened, like a little flock of birds ready to take wing at the first sign of danger.”

Curiosity must have collectively outweighed their fear because shortly one hundred and thirty men, women and children came out of the woods, all of them blue-skinned and scantily clad. Once it was established that both the aliens and the Earthmen had friendly intentions toward one another, the aliens spent the next two weeks with the primitives, developing a kind of sign language that permitted them to communicate.

The primitives were basically nomads without any basic code of law, merely the rule of right by might, just as the more powerful bull of the animals led his herd. There was no religion, but they lived in constant fear of spirits. And everything had a spirit, with very little differential between the living and the dead.

Their perception of the world wavered between reality and hallucination. Due to negative thinking, their sleep was plagued with dreams and nightmares. The swift lunge of the animal, the hiss of the snake, the howling winds and storms, falling trees and rocks to crush them and the agonizing screams of dying comrades filled their nights. They actually gave more credence to the so-called spirit world than to reality, for the objective was something with which they could cope.

The Earth people held the craft of Zret’s ancestors in awe and wonder and would touch it each time they passed it.

“We tried to explain that we had come from one of the stars in the sky,” Zret told Coe, “and this completely mystified them. But they did consider us all the good spirits rolled into one. It came time to move on and they were very reluctant for us to leave. But we told them to watch the sky, for we would return with many of our people to teach and to free them from fear, strife, and want.”

A WEALTH OF CONVERSATION

The foregoing has been but a brief taste of the many wonderful stories and lessons that Zret imparted to Albert Coe. In modern day alien abduction accounts, the aliens speak very little to their “chosen ones,” but in the case of most contactees there is a wealth of conversation and a fountain-like flow of words.

And so it is with Albert Coe and “Starfall: I Saved the Life of a Space Alien.” Zret, in his gratitude to Coe, has not only repaid Coe’s rescuing him, he has given the world a collection of historical anecdotes and philosophical lessons for which we should also be eternally grateful. Albert Coe’s kindness to Zret is also a kindness done to us, the future readers Coe probably never even imagined.

John A. Keel: The Indiana Jones of the Unexplained

From UFOs, to large hairy monsters, John Keel chased them all half way around the world.

An Interview by Timothy Green Beckley

Originally published in the UFO Review circa 1980s. Resurrected by Brent Raynes via Alternative Realities

From the upper Mile, to the lower Ganges and the Roof of the World in Tibet, to remote country villages in West Virginia and Kentucky, John A. Keel traveled extensively in his unending search for the strange, the mysterious, the unexplainable. He has been in over 40 countries and has lived in Paris, Baghdad, Cairo, Calcutta, Barcelona, Hollywood, New Orleans and a thousand exotic places in between. For many years, he wrote a syndicated newspaper column which appeared in major dailies throughout the world and his countless magazine articles appeared in nearly every leading periodical. His monthly column “Modern Mysteries” appeared in SAGA magazine for ten years. He was editor and publisher of ANOMALY, a newsletter devoted to scientific mysteries, and served on the Board of Directors of the Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained (S.I.T.U.), founded by Ivan T. Sanderson. He was also the editor of the Society’s journal, Pursuit.

John Keel, 1967

In the 1950s, Mr. Keel worked for the Department of the Army as Chief of Continuity and Production for the American Forces Network (AFN) in Frankfurt, Germany, the world’s largest radio network. In 1952, he wrote and produced a radio program, Things in the Sky, about unidentified flying objects which was heard by millions throughout Europe and very favorably received. He also wrote and produced broadcasts from the original castle of Frankenstein in Germany, and from the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.

An accomplished lexicographer, he had been science editor of Funk & Wagnalls’ encyclopedias and geography editor of the Funk & Wagnalls College Dictionary. It was Mr. Keel who inserted the first definition of the “abominable snowman” and “flying saucers” into the dictionary and thus into formal acceptance by the scholarly community.

Mr. Keel had also been active in television, serving as head writer on programs starring Merv Griffin, Robert G. Lewis, Gene Rayburn, and others. He was employed by Goodson & Todman Productions for a number of years and also was head writer for station WPIX in New York. Author of several screenplays, he wrote 200 slapstick comedies for Trans-Lux and had worked on numerous television situation comedies. His humorous novel, The Fickle Finger of Fate, published in 1966, sold 800,000 copies.

The Fickle Finger of Fate

In the early 1970s, Mr. Keel became a special consultant to the Federal Government, carrying out assignments for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the Bureau of Radiology and the Air Force office of Technical Research.

A regular on many radio and television talk shows, Mr. Keel appeared with Johnny Carson, Jack Paar, Hugh Downs, David Letterman, Long John Nebel, Barry Farber and many others. He also lectured widely and received two honorary Ph.D.’s for his work in herpetology and archaeology. He is well-known in many different fields. For example, he once wrote a column for U.S. Camera magazine and was regarded as a leading expert in 8mm sound filming. Among magicians he was known as the inventor of many ingenious magic tricks and an outstanding commentator on the psychology of magic. In religious circles, he had been labeled “the world’s greatest theologian” and his books are widely quoted by religious writers and evangelists. In Europe, he has been the subject of much controversy and many books have been written about him, such as the ever popular book The Dark Gods by the British authors Anthony Roberts and Geoff Filbertson. The Interview:

John A. Keel with Timothy Green Beckley and a frog which rained upon them.

Timothy Green Beckley: Tell us John. What happened to your beard?

John A. Keel: Ha! I see this is going to be one of those in-depth, highly personal interviews. I shaved off the beard many years ago…but a lot of pictures were taken of me in the 1960’s when I still had it. And those pictures are still appearing in print. So everyone assumes I’m bearded. I’m not. I’m old, fat and balding. People are always disappointed when they meet me. They expect Cary Grant…with a beard. And they get Ernest Borgnine.

TGB: Back in the 1960’s and early 1970’s, you were one of the most prominent and most visible ufologists in the world. Then suddenly there was silence. You disappeared. There were rumors that the government had silenced you, or that the notorious Men in Black had gotten to you. What happened?

JAK: I’m afraid the explanation is very mundane. I felt my work with UFOs was finished. I moved on to other things. And, unfortunately, I had some major health problems which curtailed my activities somewhat. I’ve suffered from hypoglycemia…low blood sugar…all my life, and I had tuberculosis, even appendicitis. Want to hear about my operation?

TGB: Uhhh…maybe some other time, John. Tell us about how you first became interested in Fortean matters…the weird and the unusual.

JAK: I grew up on a farm outside Buffalo, N.Y. so I was surrounded by all kinds of animals from the beginning. Our neighbor on the next farm used to go out and catch rattlesnakes and sell them. I went with him and that was how I first became interested in reptiles…herpetology. I devoured books by Raymond Ditmars, the great snake authority, and so on.

When I was around ten years old, that would be 1940, people on a back road near our farm began seeing a very tall, hair covered creature. They thought it was a gorilla of some kind. It scared several people badly and the farmers all went out with shotguns to track it down. Of course, they never found it. But that was my introduction to Bigfoot. Nobody knew about Bigfoot then. Ivan Sanderson, the zoologist, wouldn’t publish his studies until ten or fifteen years later.

Hairy “Wildman” was spotted in upper NY State in the 1940s.

TGB: So you became a believer in the abominable snowman-type creature at an early age?

JAK: Please. Belief never entered into it. I knew some of the witnesses. I accepted their stories. I accepted the fact that a giant “gorilla” was on the loose. You know, I also saw my first UFO when I was very young. I was about seven. We were driving outside a little town called Canseraga, N.Y. one night when we saw a huge, brilliantly illuminated sphere on top of a nearby hill. My stepfather stopped the car and we watched it. At first, we thought it was a barn burning or something. Then it slowly took off, rose straight up a short distance, and shot out of sight. This thing was burned into my memory. I never forgot it. But many years later I asked my parents about it and they had absolutely no memory of the episode whatsoever.

TGB: That would be in 1937.

JAK: That’s right. 1937 was a strange year. There were floods and earthquakes in New York state. And some very weird meteorological phenomena. Years later, when I was sifting old newspapers for UFO reports I came across several. And even back then, back in 1937, the New York Times was explaining away the sightings. Something chased a railroad train across the Midwest and the Times said it was the planet Venus.

TGB: You’re saying it wasn’t?

JAK: I’ll tell you a secret. Venus doesn’t really exist. There never was a planet Venus. The astronomers made it up…just like they make up things like Black Holes. Did you ever really think about the Black Hole theory? Since a Black Hole can’t give off or reflect light, we will never know if they exist or not. So the theorists are perfectly safe. Their theory can never be proven or disproven. I’m afraid Charles Fort was right. Astronomy is 90% bullshit. Each new generation of astronomers throws out all the beloved theories of the previous generation. Fort suggested that all the stars are actually hanging from strings on a velvet backdrop. He was probably just as accurate as the guys who dreamed up the Black Holes. Or the ones who invented Venus so they would have a convenient explanation for UFOs that chase trains.

TGB: Do we trace a little note of cynicism here?

JAK: We Forteans are a cynical lot. The anti-UFO factions never quite understood us. We are ten times more skeptical than the so-called professional skeptics, but we are willing to examine the evidence. They aren’t.

For example, in my book STRANGE MUTANTS I tell the story of a man who was riding horseback in Ohio when a giant snake suddenly attacked him, bit him in the foot and crippled him. When I did an article on this case, the snake experts told me there was no such snake in Ohio…or anywhere else. But the man’s wife happened to see my article and she wrote to me in detail about what he had suffered since. He’s crippled to this day. And the symptoms she described and all, are unknown to herpetology! We don’t know what kind of snake it was. We’ll never know. But we have the evidence…the poor house and the man’s foot. If any snake expert wants to interview these people, he could learn a lot. But the experts in any subject are usually most reluctant to investigate anything firsthand.

Strange Mutants, published in 1982 by Global Communications

TGB: Like the college professor who said the people in West Virginia were seeing a Sandhill Crane?

JAK: Exactly. Back in the 1960’s hundreds of people saw a huge winged, human-shaped creature. It chased cars. That college professor never went near West Virginia. I did. And I carried a picture of a Sandhill Crane with me. When I showed it to the witnesses they laughed. No way could they have mistaken an ordinary bird for a six-foot tall monster.

TGB: That was the famous Mothman?

JAK: Yes. Some newspapermen came up with that name for it. The Batman TV series was very popular at that time. But the Mothman episodes were a major breakthrough in my research. I outline it in STRANGE MUTANTS.

TGB: What kind of breakthrough?

JAK: I really can’t summarize it in an interview. You have to read the book.

TGB: Suppose I don’t want to shell out $9.95 for the book?

JAK: That’s tough, then. You’ll just have to spend the rest of your life wallowing in ignorance.

TGB: Actually, we have read the book. You cover a lot of subjects…ten-foot-long earthworms…

JAK: They’re found in Australia.

TGB: Vampire bats.

Artist rendition of Mothman.

JAK: One of my favorite subjects. Did you know that bats can’t land? If one touches the ground it has a helluva time getting airborne again. That’s why they land upside down on tree limbs or in caves on rock formations. They hang upside down and when they want to depart they just let themselves drop. This gives them sufficient airspeed to start flying. The Air Force released some bats in a room strung with wires once…and they were able to fly in and out and around the wires with great ease in the dark. They use a kind of radar. That little experiment cost the American taxpayer some big bucks. I once met the Air Force officer who was in charge of it. He could talk about bats for hours. And he did! But my favorite military experiment was something the Navy did a few years back. They spent over $200,000 to find out why a frisbee flies. I think they had some cockamaney notion of attaching a grenade to a frisbee.

TGB: You seem well informed on government experiments of all kinds.

JAK: I was consulting at H.E.W. when they hired a company to find out why children fall off the tricycles. They spent $25,000 to rediscover the law of gravity!

TGB: Do you think the government spends any money on UFOs or Mothmen?

JAK: First of all, the government does not spend money. It throws money away! In the 1950’s, General Twining of the Air Force said publicly that the Air Force was then spending one million dollars a year on the UFO “problem.” But as near as I could find out, and remember I was investigating from inside the government, no one in the Air Force…or any other branch…knows anything about UFOs, cares anything about UFOs, and certainly spends no time investigating the subject. In the 1960’s, a civilian secretary was in charge of the UFO desk at the Pentagon. She was paid around $7,000 a year to cut out newspaper clippings. When IDA [Institutes of Defense Analysis] decided to hire some university to investigate UFOs, they were turned down by Columbia, M.I.T. and other big, prestigious universities because they weren’t offering enough money. Only $300,000. Finally, Colorado U. accepted the assignment and I predicted they would get the Air Force to double the grant before they were through. And they did. Everyone knows what happened to that Colorado UFO project. It was a total debacle. Once again the Defense Dept. engaged the U.S. taxpayer in sexual intercourse.

TGB: You mentioned IDA. What’s that?

JAK: Another boondoggle. They have their own building near the Pentagon. They’re funded by the National Security Agency. In the 1960’s, the UFO mess was turned over to them. They made most of the decisions, not the Air Force. The drones in IDA spend most of their time playing war games with computers.

TGB: Based on your experiences, does anybody in government do anything?

JAK: In Washington, the rush hour starts at 3 p.m. People arrive at their offices around 9 a.m., drink coffee until 11, then plan where they’re going for lunch. They return from lunch around 2:30 and then get ready for the 3 p.m. rush hour. The only people who really work are the peons…the lowest salaried employees. They come to work at about 8 a.m. and leave at 5. They’re not even allowed to make private phone calls. They work in jobs like payroll, or running other benefits and services for the other employees. If an outsider…a taxpayer…shows up asking for some service, they are thrown into total confusion. When I was at H.E.W. they had 105,000 people on the payroll, most of them doing nothing. They were trying to cut back then. Today they have 150,000 on the payroll, doing even less. Ronnie Reagan promised to cut back…so I suppose in a year or two there will be 200,000 doing nothing.

TGB: Washington, D.C., is certainly a long way from Tibet. Weren’t you the last American to enter Tibet before the Chinese invaded?

JAK: Yes. That was back in the 1950’s. Things are more relaxed in the 1980’s and some Americans have been allowed in, in recent years.

TGB: What was the Tibet like?

JAK: Bleak and cold. Sort of like my New York apartment. I was looking for the famous Abominable Snowman. I did see a tall, furry animal on the other side of a lake and the lamas with me said it was an ABSM. But it could have been a bear.

TGB: So you never caught up with the Abominable Snowman?

“Yeti” footprint photographed by Eric Earle Shipton in 1951.

JAK: Or he never caught up with me. I’ve also chased Bigfoot here in USA. You know, they’ve been seen only a few miles outside of New York City, in New Jersey. In STRANGE MUTANTS I catalog quite a few sightings and list the characteristics they have in common…like the noises they make, the terrible odors they give off, their general behavior. They’re really an unpleasant lot.

TGB: I see you also have a chapter on something called “Bedroom Invaders.” What’s that?

JAK: That’s a puzzling form of psychic phenomena. People wake up in the middle of the night and find they are paralyzed…unable to move. They feel…even see…another presence in the room. Sometimes they are sexually assaulted by these entities. I’ve come across many instances of this in my investigations. In New England, it is known as “the old hag.” For some reason, many UFO witnesses, contactees in particular, suffer visitations of this sort after a UFO episode. It is one of the many factors that suggest there is a very close-tie in between UFO manifestations and psychic phenomena.

TGB: You were a pioneer in observing that tie-in. Now, today, people like Dr. Berthold Schwarz, the famous psychiatrist, Dr. Jacques Vallee and even Dr. J. Allen Hynek, seem to have jumped onto your bandwagon.

JAK: That’s right. When I first expressed my views in books like Operation Trojan Horse and Our Haunted Planet, I was met with quite a bit of opposition. Then investigators around the world began to use my methods and check out my material. Now all of the leaders in the field agree that psychic phenomena are closely linked with UFOs and that even some of our mysterious monsters are products of that psychic world. But for years, people like Hynek and Vallee fought my concepts.

TGB: So you’ve triumphed in the end. How does it feel?

JAK: It’s a hollow victory. We have just opened pandora’s box. Instead of solving the mystery, we’ve created many new ones.

TGB: How do the notorious Men in Black fit into all this? Do you think they really exist?

JAK: In the beginning, I thought the M.I.B. were just folklore…a ufological legend. Then I began encountering witnesses who had direct experiences with mystery men of all kinds. Men who couldn’t possibly have been connected with the government or Air Force…although they sometimes claimed to be. Others, such as Dr. Schwarz, uncovered M.I.B. cases independently. Obviously, there is more to this than anyone previously suspected. In STRANGE MUTANTS I give details on a number of baffling M.I.B. cases. It has always been my hope that one day we could actually corner one of these guys and get him to talk. Might torture him a little, like forcing him to listen to a Jim Moseley lecture or something.

Photo of Man-in-Black taken by Timothy Green Beckley in Jersey City, NJ.

TGB: That should make anyone talk!

JAK: Seriously, though…I’ve always considered the M.I.B. phenomenon to be one of the most important, least investigated and least understood aspects of this whole business. They are very real. They have a habit of turning up in the damnedest places at the damnedest times. They are definitely tied into the UFO mystery itself. But believers in extraterrestrial visitants have a hard time reconciling their beliefs with the presence of seemingly ordinary human beings in black suits who ride around in ordinary motor vehicles. Strangely enough, the professional skeptics have an even tougher time with the idea. Apparently, they can’t accept the notion of ordinary people in black Cadillacs either. So the M.I.B. are able to carry out their mysterious missions largely unnoticed and certainly unhindered. They’ve got the perfect cover. Disbelief!

TGB: It certainly looks that way. Tell us, where did you get the title STRANGE MUTANTS?

JAK: Well, I was thinking. Although UFOs and monsters have been seen throughout history, things really picked up after 1945…after the introduction of the atomic bomb. Few people realize that over 2,000 atom bombs have been set off in the earth’s atmosphere. The radioactive fallout has been horrendous, approaching the very dangerous level several times in recent years. Then there’s those miserable atomic power plants. They are a terrible danger, too. At hearings in Washington a few years ago, scientists and doctors attributed the deaths of 2,000 infants in the state of Michigan directly to the presence of the atomic power plants. They had overwhelming evidence. Yet the madness goes on.

John Fuller, an author well-known in ufology, wrote a book about a nuclear accident that took place in Michigan. It was called We Almost Lost Detroit. What he skimmed over was the fact that tall, hairy monsters were seen in the immediate vicinity of the Enrico Firmi Plant in Michigan just before it went blooey! Monsters have an uncanny habit of showing up around all these plants. It is quite possible, even quite probable, that many of the critters I have investigated and written about are, indeed, mutants…weird mutations of more ordinary animals produced by the radioactivity we are spreading over the world in our totally illogical, irresponsible fascination with genocide. In short, we have met the enemy and he is us.

Timothy Green Beckley seen on William Shatners Weird Or What?

Editors Note: I want to thank Tim Beckley, known widely as Mr. UFO, for granting me permission to use this great interview that he did with John Keel that appeared in his UFO Review, issue number 18, back in 1984. Mr. Beckley hardly needs an introduction. But, for convenience sake, I’ll use a fairly comprehensive biography from Amazon, where he is well-known for his many books:

Tim Beckley has had so many careers that even his own girlfriend doesn’t know what he does for a living…

Timothy Green Beckley has been described as the Hunter Thompson of UFOlogy by the editor of UFO magazine Nancy Birnes.

Since an early age his life has more or less revolved around the paranormal. At the age of three his life was saved by an invisible force. The house he was raised in was thought to be haunted. His grandfather saw a headless horseman.

Beckley also underwent out of body experiences starting at age six. And saw his first of three UFOs when he was but ten, and has had two more sightings since – including an attempt to communicate with one of these objects.

Tim grew up listening to the only all night talk show in the country that revolved around the strange and unexplained. Long John Nebel’s guests included the early UFO contactees who claimed to have visited other planets and built time machines in the desert. Tim was fascinated by everything that went bump in the night – or even in the daylight for that matter. Years later, Tim was to appear on Long John’s show numerous times and over the years has been a frequent guest on hundreds of programs which have come and gone just like ghosts in the night. He is a popular guest on Coast to Coast AM. Has appeared on William Shatners Weird Or What? And an episode of UFO Hunters regarding the dreaded Men In Black. He has his own podcast, Exploring the Bizarre and MR UFOs Secret Files, on YouTube.

Tim started his career as a writer early on – at age 14 he purchased a mimeograph machine and began to publish the Interplanetary News Service Report. Over the years he has written over 25 books on everything from rock music to the secret MJ12 papers. He has been a stringer for the national tabloids such as the Enquirer and editor of over 30 different magazines (most of which never lasted more than a couple of issues). His longest running effort was the newsstand publication UFO UNIVERSE which went for 11 years. Today he is the president of Inner Light/Global Communications and editor of the Conspiracy Journal and Bizarre Bazaar.

He is one of the few Americans ever to be invited to speak before closed door meetings on UFOs presided over by the late Earl of Clancarty at the House of Lords in England. He visited Loch Ness in Scotland while in the UK and went home with a belief that Nessie was somehow connected with dragons of mythology as well as strange discs engraved on cathedrals and ghostly phenomenon.

The Inner Light Publications and Global Communications’ catalog of books and video titles now number over 200, including the works of Tim R. Swartz, T. Lobsang Rampa, Commander X, Brad Steiger, John Keel, Tracy Twyman, Wendelle Stevens and a host of many other authors.

ARE UFOS THE KEY TO BIBLICAL SCRIPTURES AND THE SECOND COMING?

OR IS IT ALL A PROJECTED HOLOGRAM?

By Sean Casteel

Sean Casteel’s UFOs, Armageddon, and Biblical Revelations

It doesn’t matter really matter – the truth is “out there” somewhere regardless of if you are a “true believer” in all things spiritual and religious, an infrequent churchgoer, or even a full-fledged atheist.

If you are reading this, you may be wondering what could be the connection between UFOs, the Scriptures and the Signs, Symbols and Wonders of Biblical proportions that appear to be manifesting all over the world in what many see as “very troubled times.”

Are we to accept at face value the phantasmagorical stories told by those who claim to have been “taken up” (to where, one wonders?) – such as Whitley Strieber, Betty Andreasson Luca, and contactees like Orfeo Angelucci and George Van Tassel?

In a new book just out, as one of the authors, I ask, is a genuine religious experience the kind of thing that can be expressed in human language at all, or to a degree that a fellow individual, regardless of his religious persuasion can fully – or even halfway – understand it? And do the supernatural elements of UFOs and alien encounters constitute authentic contact with God or possibly His angelic messengers?

What is the difference between claiming to have seen religious miracles and simple, garden-variety madness? Is one a witness to the divine or a simple victim of mental disturbance?

Those are among the many questions grappled with in a recent offering from Tim Beckley’s Inner Light Publications. The complete title is “Sean Casteel’s UFOs, Armageddon, and Biblical Revelations: Signs, Symbols and “Wonders” – The Whole Truth.” Beckley has placed my name at the very top, but I can assure you that it is purely in an honorary sense, given the fact that there are nearly ten other contributors, including Beckley himself.

The book is the product of many years of experiences with and research into the paranormal, most specifically UFOs, their alien occupants and the often religious-spiritual overtones to contact between the aliens and ourselves. As some of the contributors to this book believe, the nature of genuine religious experience and encounters with extraterrestrials may be inseparable, may in fact be one and the same though called by different names and seen in vastly different contexts.

Angels or Aliens…or Both!

None of which is new, of course. From its very beginnings in the mid-20th century, the UFOs (at times dubbed “flying saucers”) of the modern era have been compared to angelic appearances in the Bible and seen as the driving force responsible for miracles attributed to all faiths throughout recorded history. What we have attempted to do here is to offer a survey of the religious implications of UFOs and the countless varied forms those phenomena take when they manifest in our all-too-limited physical dimension.

Along with some fresh approaches to the familiar ancient alien accounts, we have also provided an overview of Marian visions, which are much more frequent and well-documented than you may have realized. UFOs sightings in modern-day Israel are also included, as well as an analysis of why sightings in the Holy Land are so important to the entire world.

In an effort to be fair, the demonic take on the UFO phenomenon is the subject of a Q and A with prolific British author Nick Redfern, who believes there is a secret government group searching for ways to do battle with the demons bedeviling the U.S.

The religious and prophetic implications of UFOs and other forms of the paranormal are complicated, and we have provided no easy answers here. Is it even possible that there is only one single, perfect way of understanding? I think I can safely say, along with all the contributors to this book, that the answer to that question is a resounding, tantalizing, frustrating “No.”

VISIONS AND PROPHECIES OF THE LADY IN WHITE AS FIRST REVEALED IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Marian apparition photographed in 1968 over the St. Mary’s Coptic Church in Zeitoun, Egypt.

Beckley provides some historical background on the subject of Marian apparitions, or appearances by “Mother Mary” down through the ages.

“She goes by various names in various cultures,” Beckley begins. “She is known as ‘The Woman of the Apocalypse’ or the ‘Lady of the Sun.’ (Rev 12:1-6) The apparition of a beautiful woman adorned in white is first thought to have been seen in a series of visions early in the Twentieth Century, and we have come to associate her with three shepherd children and the town of Fatima, Portugal. But the truth is ‘she’ has been appearing throughout history. In fact, the Book of Revelation identifies her in prophetic terms as being in association with a ‘great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns.’ In Biblical days, as now, visions of this lady are often a precursor to an ‘act of God’ and eventually to the end of all time, the destruction of humanity by godless forces who will roam the Earth.”

The verses from Revelation that Beckley refers to are these: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the Earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.” (Rev 12:1-6)

WHAT AND WHERE IS FATIMA?

Recreation of the spinning or dancing sun at Fatima.

Beckley then shifts his attention from an ancient era to times closer to our own.

He writes: “Fatima is a small city in central Portugal where the landscape is dry and rocky. For centuries, people made their living there raising sheep and other animals. In May 1917, three shepherd children — two girls and a boy — claimed they saw an apparition of the Virgin Mary. The children described Mary as “a lady dressed all in white, more brilliant than the sun.” Mary told the children that praying the rosary would end what was then called The Great War — World War I — which left 17 million dead.

“According to the children,” Beckley continues, “Mary appeared to them six times that year. In one appearance, Mary said a miracle would occur on Oct. 13, 1917. Initially the children were scolded and even threatened with death for spreading what were considered baseless stories. But pilgrims from all over the world gathered in Fatima on that date and awaited Mary’s appearance. In what came to be called the ‘Miracle of the Sun,’ many reported seeing visions in the sky while others reported miracles of healing.  A newspaper of the day reported: ‘Before their dazzled eyes, the sun trembled, the sun made unusual and brusque movements, defying all the laws of the cosmos, and, according to the typical expression of the peasants, “the sun danced.”

Thousands witnessed the “Miracle of the Sun” at Fatima on October 13, 1917.

After much contemplation, in 1930, the Catholic Church declared the events at Fatima “worthy of belief,” and chapels, sanctuaries, shrines and other memorials to the events popped up.

WHY HAS FATIMA BECOME SUCH AN ATTRACTION?

Painting of Mother Mary by Ingo Swann

When the church declared the Fatima apparitions worthy of acceptance, it is said pilgrims who travel there could obtain a special blessing as well as pray for healing and spiritual guidance. Today it is one of the most popular shrines in the world. The largest numbers come dutifully on May 13 — the anniversary of the first apparitions.

What is not well known is that Marian apparitions, as they have become popularly known, are not just historical events of monumental proportions, but a growing phenomenon that has swept the world during the course of the decades since the three young shepherds bore witness to this series of ongoing events. Their experience pitted them and those who held fast in their beliefs against a rigid communist dictatorship who had officially declared themselves an atheistic state.

Truly, there can be little doubt in anyone’s mind upon reading through the maze of available literature that something utterly profound happened at Fatima, Portugal, on October 13th, 1917, when thousands gathered for a miracle which had been promised by three local children. Peering up into the dark, cloud-filled sky, the throng witnessed a spectacle that has deservedly gone down in history as one of the greatest spiritual events of modern times.

Even the most religiously conservative of the flock can see the obvious connection between the apparitions at Fatima, combined with the anomalous spinning “sun,” as having a likely relation to the appearance of UFOs, “spacemen” and “spacewomen” and other paranormal occurrences.

It is now an established fact that sightings and interactions with the Lady have come from all over the world and from individuals of all faiths and backgrounds. The Holy Mother has been seen in virtually every country in the world, regardless of that nation’s religious or political beliefs. Apparently, she appears before us not to make converts, but to awaken us to the fact that time may be running out.

JACQUES VALLEE’S POSITION

For many years, French-born Jacques Vallee has been at the forefront of UFO and paranormal research. He is highly credentialed, trained in science, and author of a good number of books and papers on unexplained phenomena. While the majority of UFO researchers have been out chasing “UFOs from Mars,” Dr. Vallee sees the phenomena as being more “homegrown,” more “earthbound,” much more of a conditioning influence by an outside force yet to be determined.

Vallée has contributed to the investigation of the Miracle at Fatima and Marian apparitions. His work has been used to support the Fatima UFO Hypothesis. Vallée is one of the first people to speculate publicly about the possibility that the “solar dance” at Fatima was a UFO. The idea of UFOs was not unknown in 1917, but most of the people in attendance at the Fatima apparitions would not have attributed the claimed phenomena there to UFOs, let alone to extraterrestrials. Vallée has also speculated about the possibility that other religious apparitions may have been the result of UFO activity, including Our Lady of Lourdes and the revelations to Joseph Smith. Vallée and other researchers have advocated further study of unusual phenomena in the academic community. They feel that this should not be handled solely by theologians.

One concept entertained by numerous UFO researchers is that the many visions associated with the appearance of the Madonna and Jesus in the clouds could simply be a holographic projection, created by the CIA, elements of a supposed “New World Order,” or some other “power” (possibly even extraterrestrial) in an attempt to manipulate followers of certain religious and cultural belief systems. In conspiracy theorist circles, this is known as “Project Blue Beam,” and is part of a long established pattern of “false flags,” created for purposes of propaganda and disinformation. Hispanic researcher Scott Corrales, the author of “Alien Blood Lust,” has collected anecdotes of a series of what seem to be holographic projections, mostly over the island of Cuba, where some residents have come to believe that such aerial manifestations are part of a secret program to bring the people back to “God” and turn them against communism.

WAYS MARY PRESENTS HERSELF

This picture of the Virgin Mary was taken by Gina Apodaca during a visit to Betania, Venezuela. Recently, people had experienced visions of Mary at that location. Gina had taken a photo of a nearby mountain, but upon processing of the film in the USA, the image of the Virgin appeared.

A Methodist clergyman in Haines City, Florida, Reverend B. W. Palmer, has spent years collecting hundreds of contemporary visions of the Holy Mother. His research on the subject indicates that there are at least 24 methods the Virgin uses to manifest herself. There may be as many as fifty ways, but we list here the 24 most commonly manifested.

1. The skies appear to open up and Mary with a band of angels appears to descend.

2. In the presence of a viewer, Mary appears to descend in a shaft of light.

3. The Virgin appears or disappears through a solid object such as a door or a wall.

4. A viewer may hear footsteps outside his house. Then a knock on the door. When he opens it he sees the Holy Mother.

5. The Virgin can also appear as though she is in a picture on the wall.

6. A witness may awake because he feels a spiritual presence in the room, or may feel someone’s touch. When he opens his eyes he sees the Holy Figure bending over him.

7. An angel or the spirit of a deceased person may appear to the witness first, then lead him to the materialization of the Holy Mother.

8. The witness may see the face of the Virgin or Jesus Christ appear above the person who is desperately in need of help.

9. The witness may hear a voice which tells him or her to go to a certain place and do a certain thing. When he complies, he sees the Virgin Mary.

10. The figure of the Virgin Mary appears in the sky, but greatly magnified.

11. The viewer may be awakened by the light of a very bright moon. At that moment he sees the Holy Mother.

12. Clouds play a part in visions. The Virgin often appears out of a cloud moving toward a person, and she also uses the cloud to make her departure.

13. A cloud or heavy mist may materialize in the viewer’s room. And out of the mist the Virgin will appear.

14. During the Fatima miracle, the Holy Mother appeared to the three children in exactly the same way. All three gave the same description of what they saw. In many cases the Virgin appears to several persons at the same time, but each witness gave a different description of what he or she saw. To one witness, the Holy Mother may appear as a ball of light; to another, a flash of lightning; to another, a disembodied voice.

15. The Virgin may appear in a room occupied by several people. But only one person will see her. The others may see the spirits of the dead.

16. The Virgin may also appear in the dreams of a witness. A manifestation like this is usually associated with healing or cures.

17. The Holy Mother may vanish suddenly, or fade away slowly, slipping into a cloud, through the ceiling, doors or walls. She may walk away, fading from view as she gets further and further away from the witness.

18. In most visions of the Holy Mother, only the witness singled out for communications may see her even though there are a lot of people present. This was so in the Fatima miracle in which thousands of people saw the three children talking to an entity they could not see.

19. In many of the visions collected by Rev. Palmer, the Virgin appears in a strange light, one that illuminates the witness as well. In some of these cases, the light appeared first, then the Holy Figure.

20. In some visions, the witnesses said they saw no figures at all, but were aware of the Holy Presences through the supernatural light and the voices that came to them.

21. Those who have experienced out-of-body incidents have reported seeing the Holy Mother, but that the vision disappeared once the out-of-body experience ended.

22. In other out-of-body experiences, people have claimed to travel through space to visit friends and relatives, and on such excursions have usually seen a Holy Figure, that is, the Holy Mother, a saint, an angel, or other Holy Entities.

23. In still other out-of-body travels, people have claimed to have seen the lower spirit worlds where good spirits attempt to help the lower spirits. In some instances during these lower-plane visits, the travelers have seen Jesus Christ or the Virgin Mary.

24. During near-death experiences, people said they saw Jesus or Mary for a brief moment when their bodies were physically dead.

THE REVEREND BARRY DOWNING, A PIONEER OF THE UFOS/BIBLE CONNECTION

The Rev. Barry Downing, a Presbyterian minister, says the Red Sea might have been parted by a mothership and that angels could be the “aliens” of today.

Science and religion could end up complementing each other. New – more “radical” – trends in physics point to the existence of parallel universes and other dimensions which could assist in explaining many Biblical mysteries and miracles, at least according to one Protestant minister who has spent more than a half century pondering the reality of UFOs and extraterrestrials and their possible connection to the seemingly bizarre and unexplainable tales of the Old and New Testaments.

The Reverend Barry Downing was among the first to see that it wasn’t a given that the “Good Book” was in conflict with the lore of the flying saucer and the possibility that our universe might be constructed of a bit more than just physical matter. He posited that heaven could be a real place – if not in our timeline then perhaps in a parallel existence just beyond our reach. Could that other dimension possibly be accessible through the guidance of Godly ultra-terrestrial beings and their vehicles? What we think of as spaceships could, in some cases, be divine.

Downing has been preaching the gospel of “UFO angels” for more than 50 years now, since the publication of his 1968 book, “The Bible and Flying Saucers.” Downing has recently released a new book called “Biblical UFO Revelations” that incorporates hard won wisdom and perspectives gleaned in the intervening years as he steadfastly continues to make his case for his particular take on Christianity and the aliens.

Downing is not just an ordained minister and a religious expert, he is also well-versed in physics, having earned his bachelor’s degree in the field. So he is uniquely qualified to analyze Biblical miracles like the parting of the Red Sea from the Exodus both scientifically and as a man of faith. In “UFOs, Armageddon and Biblical Revelations,” one can read more about Downing’s analysis of the “environmental impact” that the pillar of cloud and fire exerted for the sake of the fleeing Israelites.

How does one approach the extreme levels of fear experienced by witnesses to angels in the Bible? Is the fear a UFO witness experiences an example of that same kind of fear? Are we actually wise to approach the two phenomena in abject terror and trembling? At what point does a heavenly love enter the picture and cast out all fear? Downing provides answers to these questions and others equally as difficult.

GARY STEARMAN AND THE CHARIOTS OF WONDER

Gary Stearman is a well-known author and former co-host, with his partner, the late Dr. J.R. Church, of a television program called “Prophecy in the News.” Stearman now hosts his own program, “Prophecy Watchers,” broadcast on satellite, cable and the Internet. .

In an interview with Stearman conducted specifically for this book, the theological and prophetic aspects of the modern UFO phenomenon and its interaction with the modern state of Israel are given a thorough examination.

Gary Stearman

“The fact about UFOs,” Stearman began, “is that they seem to correspond in many ways to what human beings have associated for centuries with spiritual events. There seems to be a spiritual quality within the UFO world and, specifically, it can be seen as part of perhaps a spiritual struggle.

“And with that in mind,” he continued, “it’s very useful to compare UFOs, the history of UFOs in the modern era, with the occurrences of UFOs in various parts of the world. First of all, the Bible speaks of fiery chariots. The chariot in Hebrew is called the merkavah. It has been suggested, in fact, several modern Israelis have suggested, that UFOs in the Hebrew be called merkavah mophtim. And mophtim means ‘wonder.’ So what you have in the Hebrew would be ‘chariots of wonder,’ or vehicles of wonder.

“And the vehicles of wonder have been seen in the Middle East literally for centuries. But in the modern era, particularly late 1947 through 1948 in Israel, they were seen not only in the United States and Europe, but also throughout the Middle East. They were reported as disc-shaped, sometimes cigar-shaped. Sometimes they were suspected of being Russian secret weapons. At other times, invasions from another planet. But they were nevertheless seen at the time.”

THE TIMING OF THE UFO FLAPS

Stearman explained the pattern of how UFO sightings flaps were timed around crucial events in Israel. “UFOs made their first dramatic appearance, really dramatic appearance, in 1947 and 1948. That would be the Jewish year 5708, or 47-48 in the Christian calendar. Of course, that was the year of the rebirth of Israel. And these were years when great battles were being fought by human beings in Israel, but the idea is that perhaps someone else was taking notice of this on a higher plane.

“Just about ten years later, in early October of 1956, during the great Sinai Campaign of Israel against Egypt, there were great numbers of sightings of UFOs. It was quite commonly reported in the newspapers of the Middle East, particularly the Israeli newspapers.

“And then again, in the Jewish year 5727, which of course was timed with late spring of 1967, the Six Day War erupted. When the Six Day War came to pass, there was a great UFO flap throughout the world. Then, during September and October of 1973, when the Yom Kippur War against Israel took place, sightings were again very common.

“So when you lay this out,” Stearman said, “you have the years 1948, the date of Israel’s statehood, and 1956, the Sinai Campaign, as well as 1961, when another massive anti-Israeli movement was begun, of Arabs against the Israelis, 1967, the Six Day War, and 1973, the Yom Kippur War. All of those were the dates of historic UFO flaps. So that’s sort of the beginning thesis that leads us to other ideas.”

ANOTHER RELEVANT SIGHTINGS WAVE

Close-up of giant UFO over Israel.

Stearman made another connection between a major UFO sightings wave and the modern state of Israel, with the surprising year being 1897.

“The beginning of the state of Israel,” Stearman explained, “was in the year 1897. That was the great year of the first Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland. And in 1897, the world experienced, and I’m talking about the entire world – and it’s heavily reported in all the UFO literature – the world experienced a flap of UFO sightings. But they were not called UFOs. They were called airships.

“I believe that the 1897 flap was timed with the rebirth of Israel. From 1897 to 1947 of course is precisely 50 years, and the two great UFO flaps happened in those years.”

Stearman related a familiar anecdote from the 1897 flap. “There was the famous case of Alexander Hamilton of Leroy, Kansas. April 21, 1897. An unidentified airship was sailing low over his farm and it lowered a rope and trapped one of his cattle. A two-year-old heifer, bawling and jumping, was lassoed and hauled up into this airship. And it flew away. Well, there is an affidavit published in a number of the UFO publications from Alexander Hamilton. It was signed by the local sheriff, the town banker, and the registrar of deeds, attesting that this really happened. And there are, just as you know, dozens if not hundreds of reports from 1897. 1 link those to the first Zionist Congress, which essentially was the meeting that established the Zionist Movement and the state of Israel.”

BUT WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

After Stearman had explained the timing of major UFO sightings waves with events in Israel, the question then became, “What does it all mean? What are the UFO occupants trying to say about their relationship to Israel?”

“Well,” Stearman replied, “this takes us back to the fact that these are merkavaim, plural, and that’s what the Bible calls them. The Bible speaks of the fiery chariots being like heavenly ambassadors, or sometimes they’re called heavenly messengers, or angels. You can call them beings from another dimension. They’re commonly called aliens. But the prophets of ancient Israel said that these were the watchmen watching over Israel. And they were acting on behalf of the people of Israel, according to the will of God. Now, that’s what the Bible specifically says.”

So did Stearman feel that the UFOs are making a show of force, letting the world know that they intend to protect Israel?

“Yeah, I do,” he answered. “Or perhaps there is a battle, an ultra-dimensional battle, shall we say, a battle behind the scenes, taking place between those who favor one side or the other. You can state it any way you want to, but there’s an earthly battle going on and there appears to be an ultra-dimensional battle going on, too.”

Frescoes from the Middle Ages depict what can only be defined as genuine UFOs comparable to those seen today. But how could the spacecraft have worked their way into archaic religious paintings?

Did Stearman mean something like the War In Heaven spoken of in the Bible’s Book of Revelation? “The War In Heaven, yeah,” he said. “And it seems that every time Israel is threatened, the War In Heaven also seems to accelerate so that it becomes visible in this dimension as UFO and strange creature reports.”

“And so every time that Israel is threatened,” Stearman said, “the battle becomes pitched and becomes more visible to human eyes. And I believe that, Biblically speaking, you can make a strong defense for this because in the Old Testament, one of the titles of the Lord is ‘Lord of Hosts,’ or ‘Jehovah of Hosts,’ as he is called. And that title essentially is a military title. It’s like being the General of the Heavenly Army.

“Of course, one of the major Bible themes is that the Lord fights on behalf of his people. In fact, one of the meanings of the name Israel is ‘for whom God fights.’ And so it can be very well said that the hosts of heaven are fighting on behalf of Israel and that each time Israel is in peril, what we call UFOs, but what really are probably better termed merkeva mophlim, these vehicles of wonder, these fiery chariots, roll into action on behalf of Israel.”

WHAT IS TRUTH?

“Indeed, what is the fundamental truth about all things Biblical?” Beckley asks in his introduction. “And how do we interpret what the Good Book actually says about the Second Coming and the End Times as forecast in the Book of Revelation? I hope our fellow journeymen can offer up a bit of hope for humanity. Some think God is a vengeful God and we get what we deserve. Others believe in the mercy of the Savior. It’s a toss-up as far as I am concerned, but that’s why I offer you text that lies just beyond my Introduction.

“The scriptures,” Beckley adds, “and all wise men, have made it known that we have the free will to accept – or NOT to accept – all that is and may be. ‘UFOs, Armageddon and Biblical Revelations: Signs, Symbols and “Wonders” – The Whole Truth’ gives us the tools to conduct our search for the true nature of things mysterious and unknown. But, in the end, our heart holds the key. Also, thanks to our comrades: Reverend Virginia Brasington, Reverend Barry Downing, Gary Stearman, Nick Redfern, Dr. Frank E. Stranges, Tim Swartz, Barry Chamish, Arthur Crockett, Professor G. Cope Schellhorn, William Kern, and the blond Goddess of the Woods, Diane Tessman.

“Good luck in your search for the truth, be you a true believer, a heretic, or somewhere on the path in-between.”

UFOLOGY AND THE COLLINS ELITE

By Milton Grover

Authors note: Although the information contained in this article can be applied worldwide, for the sake of brevity I have for the most part concentrated on what has emerged from the USA. Therefore, bearing this in mind I have confined my observations to what is acknowledged by many researchers as being at least within the realms of what is possible, you have to, because one you start to go down this extremely slippery rabbit hole, all sorts of unexpected side avenues open up and some of them are probably best left unexplored.

I am reminded of a saying by the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, ‘Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you’, the emphasis is mine, and believe me the subject of Ufology is indeed a deep, dark abyss and once you start looking, and I do mean really looking, the psychological fallout can be genuinely unsettling and have terrifying spiritual connections.

A word of warning though, keep in mind some of what follows is derived from fundamentalist thinking and theology, which tends to base its opinions on a fairly unique interpretation of scripture. I would like to express my thanks to Tim Green Beckley and Tim Schwartz from Conspiracy Journal and also John J. Ventre the multi-state director of MUFON, for their help and suggestions in preparing this article. As a final comment, please be aware that I wrote this very recently after coming across a new piece in the UFO jigsaw and I have no views or opinions one way or another on what follows. I have written it based on the information to hand and I have supplied sources that anyone who is interested can follow up and make their own judgment on whether it is valid or not.

Ufology and The Collins Elite

ufos

The “Extraterrestrial Hypothesis” (ETH) theorizes that UFOs are spaceships from other planets with a technology so advanced that it can be indistinguishable from magick.

Since its inception in the 1940’s, modern Ufology has been beset by various ideas and opinions about what UFOs are, where they originate and who (or what) they contain. According to the most commonly accepted belief, UFOs are extraterrestrial spacecraft originating in far-off star systems that visit our planet for a whole host of reasons. Some of the reasons are entirely altruistic and benign and some considerably less so, but at the core of this particular subset of opinion called the extra terrestrial hypothesis (ETH), lies the conviction that all UFOs, irrespective of their point of origin, are nuts and bolts machines piloted by beings that seem to be more or less humanoid in appearance. This is fair enough, but seems to largely ignore many other aspects of the phenomenon. For example: these objects (and their assumed occupants) appear and disappear at will, pass through solid walls, can manifest to individuals in a group yet remain invisible to other group members and a whole host of other attributes that seem to owe more to ghosts and other spiritual beings than anything else.

However, those who subscribe to the ETH claim that this is due to vastly superior technology rather than any paranormal attributes: and that said it is arguable that any display of some aspects of an unfamiliar technology (as the late Arthur C Clarke rightly pointed out) might well be viewed as either paranormal or even magick. On the other hand there are a small number of groups who, as we shall see, insist, rightly or wrongly, that UFOs and their occupants are not physical in any accepted sense at all, but are in fact manifestations of Satan and his minions. The purpose of these UFOs is the ultimate perdition (spiritual ruin) of the human race and those who promote this concept claim that their ideas stem from what they believe is the ultimate source of all truth, i.e. the Holy Bible, which they quote to substantiate their claims.

giganti-caucaz

The book of Enoch describes “The Watchers”, a group of angels sent to Earth to watch over humans. 200 of those angels committed transgression by having sex with humans, creating a hybrid race of giants called the Nephilim.

This also ties into the supposed corruption of the human race eons ago by fallen angels (more ET’s perhaps)? as mentioned in Genesis 6:4; Jude 1:6 and then progresses into the future and the endtimes. Once we go down this route we encounter a race of ancient hybrids, i.e. the ‘Nephilim’ who were allegedly the mutant offspring of human women and the fallen angels. It is thought that these are the giants mentioned in the bible. This is the mindset that also readily embraces concepts such as the machinations of the New World Order (NWO) and the Illuminati, as with the UFO phenomenon in general it is open season for any idea one wishes to attach to it.

In addition there is an even less well known schism of belief from a similar source, saying that UFOs, while still spiritual, are created and crewed by angels, so you pretty much pays your money and takes your choice. From this it is obvious that, while UFOs and Ufology may be relatively marginalised belief systems, there is sufficient scope within them for various strands of belief to grow and develop. I say this because based on what we have just seen; some years ago I was in conversation (via a medium) with an entity that claimed to be extraterrestrial and said it came from where, quote, ‘souls were created’.

There is not a great deal one can say to that, except that having worked with this particular medium during many investigations I had faith in her abilities; so despite some reservations far be it for me to pass judgment. Besides, there is always the nagging doubt that this entity, whatever it was, was not necessarily telling the truth and this is something that has previously been commented on by other serious and open-minded UFO researchers. I say this because within the UFO community there is a surprisingly high level of intolerance to any thoughts or opinions that fail to stay within the narrow ETH mindset.

The Intelligence Agenda

pentagon investigates UFOs

Starting in 2008, the Pentagon quietly set up a $22 million program to investigate reports of UFOs.

Although officially denied, ridiculed and rejected by most governments and intelligence agencies, this ridicule conceals a very deep rooted concern that UFOs and what they represent may in fact have more basis in reality than they care to admit. This has been seen in the various governmental attempts to prove or disprove the phenomena one way or another, especially in the USA. In the USA, projects like ‘Grudge’ and ‘Blue Book’, the formation of the Robertson Panel and the Condon Report etc, etc are all examples of this and it has been argued that what emerged from these groups was nothing more than propaganda using disinformation, misinformation, spin and barefaced lies. Even the much vaunted book, the so-called ‘smoking gun’, i.e. The Day After Roswell, is a prime example of this bare-faced subterfuge. Government files on the UFO enigma continue to surface, one of the more recent examples was the release of formerly classified information from the UK intelligence services in the Ministry of Defence (MOD), but nowhere in the files is there any evidence that they are extraterrestrial. Even stonewall cases like the Rendlesham Forest incident of the 1980’s despite the witness evidence being pretty much positive and overwhelming are brushed off using varying specious excuses.

All that these reports were able to say was, officially at least and despite the fact that the intelligence agencies regularly used Ufology as a screen to conceal their own agendas, there was no truth in any of it and the UFO phenomenon lay entirely in the minds of the general public. It was founded on little more than overactive imaginations and mistaken identity compounded with a desire for some mystery and intrigue. It is possible that some of this subterfuge might have stemmed from a real fear that to admit that we really were visited by non-human races originating outside our solar system might create widespread fear, panic and civil disorder. It is also likely to have caused many people to question the authority and moral certainty of the churches, something that would serve to further exacerbate an increasingly unstable situation.

The Collins Elite Emerges

However, despite the artifice and denials there is the nagging suspicion that their investigations revealed that at least some UFOs might be genuine and this knowledge could somehow be harnessed for military advantage. This is probably true, because given the ultra-pragmatic way in which intelligence agencies operate (especially the CIA), obtaining anything they think will be of use to their country militarily becomes imperative, so how and where they obtain this information is secondary to the methods used; i.e. the end invariably justifies the means. Since any information would have to be properly evaluated, monitored and thought through in a dispassionate manner, a steering group was formed comprising representatives of all interested parties.

In the USA, since all branches of the military plus the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) were obviously involved anyway, it was a relatively simple matter to draft in representatives under the stewardship of, initially, the FBI then the omnipresent CIA and eventually perhaps the NSA as well. This semi-official subgroup which was created in July 1952 allegedly became nicknamed by those involved, ‘The Collins Elite’. Although it starting out evaluating the threat of UFOs as one based on actual machines, given the makeup and views held by some influential members of this group, this changed dramatically and the first question to ask is how much truth is in what they said and could the CIA have accepted this and allowed it to develop?

Attitudes Harden

According to a book, Final Events, written by author and researcher Nick Redfern, a British citizen currently residing in the USA, the answer is yes, they could. For many years the CIA was not only out of control, it was beyond control and functioned more or less autonomously as a separate government that was a law entirely unto itself, something greatly helped by its lavish and often unaccountable funding. Even their notional boss, the President of the USA, had no idea what was going on and given some of the shady and frequently murderous operations they instigated and sometimes funded, this was probably just as well; it is a process called ‘plausible deniability’, a term first used by the CIA during the Kennedy administration. Regarding the way in which the CIA operated, it has been stated that when Area 51 was first created it was handed to the CIA to operate rather than the Navy or the Air Force and in 1958 the then President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had made the mistake of allowing the base to function without Presidential oversight, was flatly denied both access to the base and information regarding what was going on there. In retaliation the President promptly threatened to send in an army group from Colorado to dismantle the place. In response to this tactic he was grudgingly given the information he requested, but he never did wrest control of the base back from the CIA.

ufowomen

It has been suggested that the UFO phenomena could be supernatural and/or demonic instead of nuts and bolts spaceships from other planets.

Redfern goes on to state that the findings of the Collins Elite strongly infer that the ET presence was not just the result of visits by nuts and bolts flying machines and their occupants, instead it was probably demonic/satanic nature instead. In fact it went as far as say categorically that there was never any contact between extraterrestrials and humans, it has always been supernatural and/or demonic. We should remember that this covert unit, although it started out with a fairly specific remit, rapidly became increasingly influenced by some of its more single-minded members who may themselves have been implementing an agenda directed from outside the group.

Strangely enough this opinion chimes with comments made by the late ethno-botanist and psychonaught Dr. Terence McKenna, who once said that, ‘We are part of a symbiotic relationship with something which disguises itself as an extra-terrestrial invasion so as not to alarm us.’ He never did elaborate on what he meant by that, but it probably refers to the entities, sometimes called ‘machine-elves’ frequently seen by people who use substances like dimethyltryptamine (DMT) the active ingredient of the traditional and powerful hallucinogen Ayahuasca. This would certainly fit with the observations made by members of The Collins Elite and this kind of thinking is surprisingly common in some areas of the UFO community who see the phenomenon as more akin to the occult that anything physical.

It is a view also shared by members of the fundamentalist Christian right-wing of American politics and in some cases they have claimed that UFOs were piloted, not by demons, but by angels as an adjunct to the much prophesied ‘end times’. However, the astute observation made by Dr McKenna fits exactly with a statement allegedly made by The Collins Elite to the effect that, “We have in our midst a cold-hearted and sinister intelligence of demonic origins that masquerades as alien.” Although the wording is slightly different, the meaning is identical. Before we examine The Collins Elite in a little more detail, we should consider some of the background and this involves looking at other, less well-known projects undertaken by the CIA and the other US intelligence agencies.

As well as investigating the possibility that the earth was being visited more or less at will by non-human entities, they were also extremely interested in highly controversial occult experiments being carried out by an pioneering rocket scientist and co-founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Jack Parsons and Ron Hubbard in the days before Hubbard decided to make money by inventing the cultish quasi-religion of Scientology. Hubbard spent the last years of his life on the run, keeping the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) off his back. The IRS wanted the tax due on the money in the Scientology bank accounts. However Hubbard, who considered his creation a religion, would not pay it. Eventually the Scientologists, after the death of Hubbard and now being run by David Miscavige, managed to effectively blackmail the IRS into granting them religious status allowing them to avoid paying tax.

The Connection with Magick

Ahnenerbe

The Ahnenerbe Symbol.

In a way this unlikely connection between the military and magick is not all that surprising and resonates with claims made a couple of decades earlier about the Nazi High Command during the Second World War and the possibility that they too were involved in magical rituals based on esoteric research into the origins of the Aryan race conducted by covert, quasi-scientific groups like the Ahnenerbe, which was founded in 1935 by SS chief Heinrich Himmler and others. Whether or not any of this information was used as part of the Nazi master-plan for victory in WWII is open to debate, but there is no doubt that Himmler et all did have some really bizarre ideas about how this knowledge might be ‘weaponised’.

This ties into similar claims made in the book, The Spear of Destiny by Trevor Ravenscroft, an extremely controversial publication first released in 1972, that the lance that pierced the side of Christ on the cross in St John’s account of the crucifixion, was eventually appropriated by Adolph Hitler in an attempt to use its supposed immense latent power using some unspecified method, in his plan for world domination. It may be that given the reputation of the spear just having it in his possession might enable his scheme, however according to the legend losing the spear resulted in the death of whoever had it, something that seems to have been fulfilled when Hitler finally shot himself in the head with a pistol.

lam

Under the influence of both mescaline and hashish, Aleister Crowley conducted an ancient ritual and encountered a creature that called itself Lam.

In the case of the aforementioned Parsons and Hubbard, in 1946/47 they attempted to create a magickal dimensional portal to allow a divine feminine archetype, in fact the goddess Babylon, access to our reality. Other opinions hold that it was not any goddess, but some kind of demonic child. They did this using the ‘Babalon Working’, which was a variation on a ritual that had been attempted nearly fifty years previously by the noted late Victorian British occultist and eccentric Aleister Crowley, when he used a ritual called the Alamantra Working. It may be relevant that Crowley manifested an entity he called ‘Lam’ while undertaking this project (he drew a picture of it) and there is no question that Lam looks remarkably like an alien ‘Grey’ and it was after this that these (and other) beings started to be seen on a regular basis when alleged contact with ET’s took place.

Crowley was well aware of what the two men were attempting and warned Parsons about his deep mistrust of Hubbard and his motives; something that proved remarkably prescient when Hubbard absconded shortly after with a large sum of cash taken from the bank account he shared with Parsons, plus Parson’s current mistress in tow. Unsurprisingly, Scientologists fail to find room to mention any of this in their sickly hagiographies of Hubbard. In fact Crowley had a great fondness for Parsons, who he regarded as a kind of standard-bearer of his brand of magick, it would be closer to the truth to say that he thought of Jack Parsons as the son he never had. In a strange example of possible synchronicity, Parsons died at home in 1952 when a mysterious explosion in his garage ended his life. It has been suggested that the explosion was due to his experiments with highly volatile chemicals involved in making rocket fuel, (this was after all what he did for a living) either that or, as has also been implied, he was trying to create a ‘homunculus’ or artificial being and his experiments went badly wrong, either way he died.

Is Any of This Feasible?

Again we should pause to consider whether or not any of this is feasible, because if fractures in the nature of reality can be brought about by the use of words, symbols and rituals, this may find a resonance with the arcane symbols and formulae used by quantum physicists in the present day. Examples of this can be found in the laboratories where such strange, albeit cutting edge experiments are carried out, because it has been found that what the participants in these experiments think about what is being attempted can directly affect the outcome. It’s called the ‘observer effect’ and much to the chagrin of the hard-line rationalists it is proven to occur and there is no obvious answer why, or at least not one that they find acceptable.

This by any measure indicates that the ‘observer effect’ is a form of magick, the very thing that physicists would reject out of hand, but how else to explain it? Actually Aleister Crowley seems to have summed this up pretty well several decades earlier when he defined magick as “The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will”, in effect the ability to edit reality. Once again it seems surprising that the intelligence agencies should involve themselves in such arcane practices, because one would imagine that as the hard headed realists they have to be they would dismiss this as sheer fantasy, but not so.

thumbnail_aliens-in-time-and-space-maria

Is it possible that factions within military and intelligence agencies were/are involved with occult and magical practices that contacted entities from beyond this reality?

One can easily cite the ‘Stargate Project’ which involved, among other things, remote viewing and other psychically inspired attempts to gain an advantage over a perceived enemy as examples of the lengths they will go to. However, it is at this point we find ourselves slipping into other parallel claims of mind-bending experiments allegedly conducted at places like Montauk and we have to be careful before dismissing this as sheer conjecture and nonsense, if, for no other reason than there was a military base at Montauk and its remains are still to there to this day and, some people say, also the unintentional remnants and residue of the experiments supposedly conducted there. These experiments seem to interlink closely with certain occult and magical practices involving time-travel amongst other claims and contact with entities that did not originate in this reality. So, how does the Collins Elite tie into this?

If we consider that this group was set up to see if any military advantage could be gleaned from contact with extraterrestrials and came to the conclusion that these entities were not ET but demonic, we can also assume that they were prepared to do whatever it took to make this work. Among the projects bordering on the magickal being undertaken was the development of such devices as ‘psychotronic weapons’, which could allow the remote influencing of how individuals operate and think, plus a range of other technologies that at first sight seem impossible. By our standards they are and that includes various spin-offs from work already being conducted on other types of electromagnetic weapons, but once you enter into the dark world of magick then literally anything becomes possible. As an adjunct to this, there was another sinister CIA funded mind control project called MK-OFTEN (an adjunct to the better known and equally notorious MK-ULTRA). For MK-OFTEN, the CIA employed the services of Satanists, witches, psychics and other occultists as part of their efforts in MK-ULTRA at establishing a reliable and effective method of mind control. This being the case then it is entirely feasible that they would plumb any depths in their search for a military advantage.

The Vatican

vaticanandufos

The Catholic church has been pondering over whether there are more technologically and intellectually advanced sentient beings elsewhere in the universe.

As if this was not enough, there are claims by Catholic researchers that the Vatican has, or at least had, plans afoot to prepare its flock for the arrival of an extraterrestrial saviour, which seems to resonate with the idea that Jesus was an ET. Again we have this odd, synchronistic link between aliens and angels and the notion that the human race is the result of extraterrestrial DNA splicing. It seems logical that an organisation as powerful and influential as the Vatican must have some sort of plan in place to deal with the possibility that if there is life on other planets and that life has no concept of a creator God, what happens then? It has been seriously mooted by the Curia that in that case it is the duty of the Church to make them aware of God and bring them salvation: good luck with that. Again, much of this, although it may have elements of fact, is also based on hearsay. It’s rather like the so-called ‘evidence’ for the reality of UFOs and especially secret underground bases that comes from ‘high ranking’, but almost always unnamed service personnel who dare not reveal their identities for fear of deadly reprisals.

This evidence might as well not be quoted for it cannot be checked; in truth it is evidence of nothing except speculation, but for now that will have to do. However it is a fact that Pope John Paul on the 23rd of October, 1996, while speaking to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences plenary session at the Vatican, stated that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution was a reality and in doing so reduced the biblical accounts of how we got here to nothing more than myth. How this will play out in the years to come will remain to be seen, but as a word of caution; according to the prophecies of the Irish St Malachi the Pope coming after Pope Benedict i.e. Pope Francis, will be the last one and what comes after that is anyone’s guess, but according to Malachi it is the ‘end times’…again!

From what we have seen it may be likely that the Collins Elite is real and still exists and their task was to monitor any attempts at making contact with whatever exists on the other side of reality, be it extraterrestrial, ultra-dimensional, supernatural or whatever form it takes. If that is the case then they would have been extremely interested in what the likes of Jack Parsons and Ron Hubbard (and others) were trying to do. As already stated, it would have mattered naught where this information came from or how it was obtained, as long as they could harness and make effective use of it. One of the papers purportedly coming from this group was entitled ‘Deception and UFOs: What we Believe and Why’ emerged in 1998 and in it there is a distillation of their findings since their inception in 1952. What is basically says is that the earth is being prepared for Armageddon and that human beings are little more that containers for souls that can be harvested in the service of Satan. The only way to salvation is, apparently, to embrace Christ as your redeemer and all will be well.

One of the strangest aspects of what came under their oversight was the possibility that a project was underway driven by these non-humans to create hybrids of humans and aliens to serve the antichrist and Satan during the endtimes, the time of Armageddon in fact. Never forget that fundamentalist Christians we encountered earlier fully believe this, along with the ‘rapture’, can and will happen and even the ultra-rational realm of science has its fair share of them. So yes, the Collins Elite probably are real, and seem to be still in existence, for in the murky world of intelligence gathering anything that works, however distasteful can and will be used, although this knowledge is seldom on public display; it is how ‘black projects’ work. Time as always will tell.
